The location is very good. Close to the metro and within very easy walking distance of many of the main sites in Santiago. The Plaza de Armas is only 10 minutes walk away. Cerro Sta Lucia is opposite and the bars and restaurants of the historic barrio are literally around the corner. The Bellas Artes Museum is 5 minutes walk...

The decor is old world but the facilities are decent. I stayed twice in two different single rooms at the back on level three and five (less noisy). The rooms were clean. The bathroom was clean. The windows kept open allowed a breeze in. The TV was small but had many channels. Breakfast was served on the top floor with...

You couldn't ask for better value and location. I was able to take the metro to within a few blocks of the hotel. There are loads of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Definitely take a few minutes to walk through Santa Lucia park. It is delightful. The hotel was great for Latin America. I appreciated the open window...

Great choice for value travellers. Location is great. Right in the lasterria district, which is very walkable and has great restaurants. Not far from other main sites (ie plaza de armas). Price is very reasonable. Our room was eclectic but big. Plus the hotel.offered parking and free breakfast. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

I stayed for 1 night at the beginning of my trip, then 3 nights at the end, in two different single rooms with private bathrooms. The first room was not great - small, dark, no view. The second room was much, much better - more space, bright, with a view of Cerro Santa Lucia across the street from the hotel....

All around you can't beat Foresta. I have been staying here annually for a number of years. It is my " go to" hotel in Santiago. The location in Barrio Lastarria is just where you want to stay - nightlife, theater, restaurants and class not to mention right at the foot of the Sta Lucia Hill and steps away from...

This boutiqe hotel is quite old, but has a nice charm and is in a good location for walking about Santiago. The rooms are quite old, but were kept clean and there is a nice restaurant that is on an upper level of the hotel.

We stayed a couple of times at the Hotel Foresta in March and April. It really is great value accommodation in an excellent location in the Lastaria and close to two metro stations and an easy walk to the city centre and Bellavista. The rooms are very large with a sitting room with a cosy old world feel and front...

I stayed here for 4 nights in July 2011. I got a single room. The room was old fashioned and cosy. The phone and TV were at least 20 years old, the floor boards creaked and the en suite was oddly familiar. I loved loved loved the room as it was like my mother and aunt had been let loose...

I stayed at the Foresta from 13-17 October 2014. The hotel itself was fine, a bit shabby and old-fashioned (decor) but friendly staff and nice twin room. It gets 4 stars due the location/price. Good points: Helpful friendly staff - it's useful if you have basic Spanish (useful everywhere in Chile!), but some English spoken. Very convenient for metro (Bellas...
