Castillo Rojo Hotel Boutique —“The Red Castle”— is located at the center of Plaza Mori in the heart of Bellavista. The neighborhood is famous for its live music, theater, fine restaurants and exciting nightlife. We are one block from the Pablo Neruda House, Patio Bellavista and the Funicular to the summit of San Cristóbal Hill. The iconic Red Castle, was originally built in 1923 as an elegant private home and it quickly became known as a meeting place for locals and visitors alike. In 2013, it was lovingly re-imagined as a boutique hotel, with original furniture, restored fireplaces and woodwork, light fixtures and other design elements true to the style of the 1920s. Today, Castillo Rojo offers modern comforts and luxuries, including 19 individually climate-controlled guest rooms, a wine bar, and exciting restaurant.

This is one of my favorite hotels I've ever stayed in and definitely feels like a boutique experience. The interior feels quite cozy, especially in the lounge area where they do a complimentary wine hour every day. It was a place I just wanted to hang out, and I ended up going back to the hotel every day to escape the late afternoon heat and read and sip wine on the terrace overlooking the plaza. My room was small but well-appointed and with a lovely view of the interior courtyard so it felt quite peaceful. Breakfast is nice, with eggs and coffee to order, and a buffet of fruits, etc. The staff are all welcoming and helpful - Barbara and Daniel especially answered lots of my questions.

This hotel was the best choice we made in Santiago. The staff are all so helpful and friendly. We met some of the lovely people who work in the restaurant and made fast friends, going out to dinner and drinks together. The rooms are spotless and beautifully appointed. The location could not be better - there are so many restaurants and bars and things to do nearby and we felt safe even late at night. The hotel provides a free happy hour where you can chat with other guests if you wish. We felt a part of a community. This hotel is a true gem. I look forward to coming back.

A beautiful restored building in a great location. Staff was warm and helpful; our room was quite small but also very comfortable, clean, and well protected from street noise. When we arrived we were informed that although we were supposed to get an upgrade they didn't have anything available, so they gave us a nice tray of snacks as compensation. Not quite sure why they couldn't have saved the upgrade for our arrival. Breakfast was OK --

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights before and after our trip to Easter Island, and this is by far the most unique and classy hotel that I have ever stayed in my 10+ years of travel. Everything - from the rooms, to the lounge area, hallways, breakfast area- is so beautifully decorated and full of character. This is a place that can make you feel transported back to the 20s, and I am so impressed with the staff keeping this space and all those antiques in such fine conditions.
I have to give a special shoutout to all the friendly and kind staff who made our stay so pleasant. They have graciously arranged us to stay at two different room types for two nights to allow us to fully experience this place. I love the attic room, but the other room on the 2nd floor that comes with a nice balcony has my heart. They gladly shared with us about the history of this place. On our checkout day, it was pouring and the staff was so kind to carry our heavy luggages under the rain onto the cab.
I just can't say enough good things about this place and the people there, thanks for making our stay in Santiago extra memorable:) Will for sure staying here again when I visit Santiago next time.

A fantastic boutique hotel in a great location. Clean. safe, quiet and with exceptional service. The breakfast was included and very nice plus an evening wine tasting allowed us to meet other guests while enjoying great Chilean wine. Definitely would recommend staying here and we will return on our next visit to Santiago.

Castillo Rojo was only a 1 night stay for us before travelling to other parts of Chile, but we wish we could have stayed longer! Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, which was especially appreciated after we arrived having been awake and travelling for 24 hours. Tons of distinctive charm and history, and a great location, especially for exploring parks and the food scene of Bellavista and Providencia. Very secure building. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious, and the included breakfast was delicious. Also, free wine from 5-6pm in the lounge! We arranged for a shuttle service to and from the airport for an additional fee, and it was worth it for the convenience.

Hotel with great location, lots of things nearby (restaurant, gallery, snowwear rental shop, mini markets), and easy to take metro and Uber to other places.
It is a historic hotel(I do not know the exact term you use) and therefore has no elevators.
The breakfast is good, with natural juices, fruits, had the option to order omelet or egg mixed and had a leaf filled with wonderful jelly. I had some very good homemade breads too. There are no colds (cheese and ham), for those who like it.
*if you have tours and left before the time it is served, you can notify in the reception and they make a kit for you not to stay without eating.
The room was quite spacious, with heater, shower with hot water, very comfortable bed. The negative point of room number 4 is that it is in the middle of the space that is the living area, where it serves free wine at the end of the day, where it provides free coffee and teas, and so passes many people there, and at some times made noises that bothered. But it's not something unbearable.
The staff was always very attentive.

This is an excellent small hotel in the Bella Vista area of Santiago. It's location features many restaurants and is at the base of San Cristobal hill. The staff is great and each we met spoke English well. The hotel is built from an old mansion and has no elevators, but the staff will carry bags to your rooms. A free wine hour each evening in the beautiful lounge is good for meeting fellow guests. The hotel can arrange airport transportation and tours. Highly recommend.

Hotel Boutique Castillo Rojo was absolutely amazing! Their top-quality service started before our stay even began when they let us store our hiking backpack for 3 nights before we arrived so we didn't have to fly it with us to Atacama. We received the bag again when we checked in and were pleasantly surprised with a small bottle of Chilean sparkling wine in our room. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean and well decorated. The bathroom was also huge and very nice! The free breakfast was delicious and they even have a daily wine hour with Chilean wine. Everyone we interacted with from the front desk staff to the breakfast crew were so kind & accommodating. I only wish we could have stayed longer!
