Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Holiday Inn Santiago - Airport Terminal, an IHG Hotel, receives mixed reviews for service with some guests complimenting the staff's attentiveness and others pointing out inconsistencies. Rooms are generally seen as clean and spacious, yet there are remarks about the need for updates. Its prime location next to the airport is highly valued by guests, adding to the convenience factor. While the hotel's cleanliness and stylish atmosphere are applauded, notably in the inviting bar area, opinions on value suggest that some travelers feel it is overpriced for what is offered.

I had a one night stay between a late afternoon arrival and early morning departure from SCL. The Holiday Inn seemed a convenient option for transit at the airport. Check in was exceptional - staff were friendly, engaged and professional. Room facilities were clean and at the standard expected at the price point. Food, beverages and service at the restaurant were (very surprisingly) amongst the best of my 3 week stay in South America! What was expected to be just a transit hotel stay ended up being a very enjoyable experience. I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again if connecting through SCL.

Hotel's Favourite
We needed to spend our first night near the airport since we needed to check-in the next day at 6:00 AM. I initially booked a hotel near the airport, but later changed my mind. This hotel was significantly more expensive, but was well worth the extra cost. Even though the off site airport hotels have free shuttles, we decided we would rather splurge for the convenience - and were glad we did! We arrived at 10:00 AM and were relieved when we got the okay to check-in early - this was great after a long overnight flight. Staff very friendly and helpful at check-in. The room was clean with modern furnishings. The restaurant was quite good with Chilean specialties. I had the seafood with squid ink pasta that was very good. Remember, if you are going to Rapa Nui (Easter Island) you will probably have an overnight connection. Do yourself a favor and stay here. You will need to begin the check-in process at 6:00 AM and this hotel is a few minutes walk to Terminal 1.

Stayed here twice on our trip. It is a very convenient location for an overnight stay when you are catching a flight the next morning. Staff was very helpful, especially Javier. He answered many questions for us and stored our luggage while we were out and about. Great service indeed!

This is absolutely the place to stay if you have an early morning flight. You walk across the street to the terminal. Big spacious modern rooms. Outlets for charging electronics in awkward inaccessible places; they could remedy that. Little water pressure and waited a long time for hot water.

This is a fairly standard airport hotel. While there are lots of hotels near Santiago Airport, this is the only one within walking distance - it's literally in the middle of the airport complex. Note that it's on the landside of the airport, so you need to pass through immigration and might need a visa to do so. For Australians, visas need to be applied for and granted in advance of arrival in Chile. Despite its location my room wasn't affected by aircraft noise. There was some noise from the hotel bar though - building an airport hotel where all the rooms open onto a void above the bar is an eccentric decision given that people stay in these hotels only to sleep. Some of the rooms on the lower levels would likely be fairly badly affected by noise from the bar. My room was comfortable and well maintained, but a bit dated. The AC was a bit noisy, and the room would benefit from being updated to modern standards. I didn't have high hopes for the hotel restaurant given standards in airport hotels aren't high, but it was actually very good. The menu is interesting and service was quick and friendly. The breakfast was also great, and starts at 5 am.

Location Super handy for both terminals. But the rooms are old and tired. Everything in the room seems battered and just about hanging on to life. No fridge. Aircon from the 70s - lots of noise and not much cooling. The pool area has a slightly grubby aspect to it. Gym not bad. Service in the bar area very slow and unwelcoming. For this they add 10% “service” to your bill and if you pay by cash, and say it comes to 15,100 pesos with their tip, then they’ll round it up to a neat 16,000 for you! If this hotel wasn’t at the airport with no competition it wouldn’t survive at current rates.

This hotel is very conveniently located adjacent to the terminal. It’s about 30 minutes from downtown by car — not difficult to get a bus or Uber from the airport. We found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. We were able to get an early check in when our flight arrived at 10 am; and then a 2 pm check out for a night flight out two weeks later (and were able to stay in the hotel lobby/lounge until departure time). Furthermore, the hotel staff was kind enough to let us store our winter gear from our Antarctica trip while we visited Easter Island — since we were returning to the hotel. The old wing of hotel could do with some updates, particularly the bathrooms. However, the rooms were spacious and comfortable — and surprisingly quiet given the location. The new wing had updated bathrooms, but the shower drainage was so poor that the entire bathroom was flooded! The restaurant food was reasonably good, although service was slow (but friendly).

Great place. Friendly staff. It’s an easy walk from the terminal (we were at terminal 2 international). 5-10 minute walk either from level 3 or level 1. There are elevators on both ends (at the hotel or at the airport). The woman who checked us in was very nice, acknowledged our IHG status, got us water bottles, two drink vouchers, free breakfast and late checkout. All without asking. The pool is indoor and cold. And the hot tub wasn’t hot. Both were seemingly in the basement (ground floor). Hotel has a bar that serves all meals. I couldn’t find a fridge in our room but there was a safe, hair dryer and soap, shampoo, lotion. No hair conditioner. There was an ice machine between the pool and the gym. Gym was good.

Absolutely a good hotel, very central at the airport and easy to find. Employees are friendly and most times attentive, the rooms are clean and spacious. However, the view from my room was even for an airport terrible, windows can not be opened so you need always the airco, the breakfast options a bit too easy given the price and also diner was expensive but not outstanding. So one of those average business hotels!

This is the perfect place to spend the night between flights. We flew in from Puerto Natalas and had an early morning flight to Calama so for 14 hours this was great. The bar staff was great, manager was attentive to our AC issue and the 100 yard walk to the terminal can’t be beat. Great airport hotel option.
