wonderful hotel, friendly people, valuable advice on what to visit downtown (speak English), great views of the city from some rooms directly, nice garden, beautiful balconies, it's a nice location to just enjoy and relax

I stayed at El Mirador only one night (Thursday 11 August 2016) but found it very comfortable. It is opposite a school. The accomodation is in a beautiful,100-year old mansion, with bedrooms opening onto a sunny courtyard with roses, etc. Large, wooden paned windows allow the sun to stream in and the owner (Marisol / Maria Soledad) grows attractive flowing... This was our first accommodation after arriving in Chile from the UK. Maria made us very welcome and we communicated well enough despite our poor Spanish. Room was comfortable and accommodation secure, with fabulous views from the back terrace. Reasonably close to Artilleria funicular and regular, cheap buses to down town. Breakfasts were lovely- better than on offer at some... More

This was comfortable and reasonably priced. It was friendly, caring and very ready to go to the trouble to give that extra help. A good Chilean breakfast was also provided. Care was taken by the proprietor to inform on the various city attractions.

Very friendly and helpful host, comfortable rooms and good breakfasts. A little out of the way but very frequent bus service to downtown. Sometimes no hot water. Excellent coffee nearby (Cafe Republica). Restaurants in the area are okay but not great.

Dear guest, I need say sorry. When you were gone we saw the hot water was off. But the other guest who used the external bathroom turned it off. I will look for a solution so this doesn't happen again. Thank you for telling us. More

I stayed 2 nights here and was very pleased. The rooms were decorated in an eclectic style that I enjoyed. I really liked the high ceilings. Breakfast was simple but good quality. The owner also joined in the conversation with our group and several tourists from other countries. The view of the city from the outdoor balcony was spectacular, especially... More

I stayed at this bed and breakfast with my family in early January 2016. It is located on a quiet street not far from the historical center of Valparaiso. The views of Valparaiso from the back terrace are pretty amazing- not so impressive in daylight but wonderful at dark. There is a charming courtyard with rose bushes and a place... More

I highly recommend staying at El Mirador Valparaiso! The views were absolutely amazing; the room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet; and Maria was an incredibly lovely hostess. If I return to Valpo, I will for sure stay with her again.

I owed the hotel this review from last year as I wasn't on TripAdvisor at the time. I feel I have to correct this as my stay there was most pleasant. The place is slightly outside Valpo's tourist quarter but has a good bus service. Once inside you feel definitely at home. The space is very tidy, with ample galleries... More

Beautiful, spacious, remarkably cheap hotel (especially for solo travellers). The lady who runs it really goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. Gorgeous views out into the city. Lovely little place.
