Pululahua Hostel is set in an absolutely beautiful crater, lined by forests and farms. The staff and owners there are very friendly, and know a lot about the region. The rooms have a wonderful view and a warm fireplace, and each day the staff serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with your dietary preference in mind. The meals were tasty. Overall,...

We stayed here on the 3 day, 2 night package and had an amazing time. It's the worlds biggest inhabited crater in a live volcano. The Ecuadorian owners are very friendly and helpful, giving you lots of information and advice as to where to trek in the area. Renato even created his own trail map to follow as the tourist...

Very nice hotel at an unique and beautiful location. Dinner was tasty and the jacuzzi super nice! The owners were also very nice and helpful and had good advice about what to see around. Advice is to stay longer than one night. We had too short time see the nice envirionment.

We planned to stay for only one night but extended our stay for another night. This place and especially the location is extraordinary beautiful. It has a magical mysterious athmosphere and is very quiet and relaxed. A perfect place to relax and unwind after spending a few days in the bustling Quito. We had a nice room on the first...

I do not understand the high rating at this hostel. Yes the location of the hostel is extraordinary, we have 3 beautiful days of hiking, the food is very good, 2 guys are very attentive and smiling but give 5 stars... I noticed that several comments came from people giving only 1 in 4 reviews. Perhaps that we were in...

First of all I want to apologize for any inconveniences that you may have had while staying at our Eco Lodge. Also I want to thank you for all of your valuable comments and we will make sure to fix whatever is under our control. Yes, we are at a remote location and it is very difficult to get employees....

The Pululahua Crater itself is what made this trip so memorable. Gorgeous hikes, fascinating changes in scenery, mysterious fog curtains — the crater itself is not to be missed. Pululahua Hostel is also very nice. We especially enjoyed the jacuzzi and the upstairs cards/game room. The staff is fairly nice & helpful, although the owner can sometimes be a little...

We spent 3 nights at this hostal and didn't want to leave. We chose to take a taxi from Mitad del Mundo to the edge of the crater and hike down. The first view was amazing! The trail is steep in parts, so make sure you have good shoes and it's not raining. From the minute we arrived at the...

Had a great time exploring the volcano. Very comfortable bed! We were picked up in Quito and Renato took us birding then to Mindo--he's a great birding guide too--then drove into the volcano in the dark. it was amazing waking up in the morning and walking outside to see the rim above us. THANK YOU

Wonderful location in the bowl of an extinct volcano surrounded by cultivated fields and then up higher a lush cloud forest, filled with flowers and exotic birds. This is a comfy little hostel with no swimming pool or fitness center but there is a flower garden where you can enjoy breakfast while watching the humming birds on a sunny patio....
