Probably the best place I've ever seen in all my trips since ten years... I just couldn't leave that house. I felt like at home. Breakfast kitchen room bed staff were just perfect. Thank you I'm already missing your place and a special thank to la señora who prepares breakfast! See you soon!

Of the various places we stayed during our two week trip to Ecuador, Casa Bambu was by far my favorite. Clean, bright rooms and very clean bathroom with an excellent high-pressure hot shower. Huge kitchen facilities and rooftop with incredible city views. Large computer room with fast internet, a movie room, a small library, and plenty of nooks for lounging....

I spent two months here and am generally happy I did. The building itself is great, with at least three kitchens stocked with pots and pans. A large patio has a beautiful view over the city. The only problem is it is located awkwardly between La Mariscal (new town / business/ party area) and Old Town. In terms of cost...

I actually would!!! I don't always say so, but when I do, I mean so! This is maybe the best and most complete hostel in Latin America! It counts with two kitchens, splendid showers and bathrooms! And a pissoir and soap!!! (For the uninformed reader: Ecuadorians hate soap in bathrooms, because their interpretation of Christianity doesn't allow them to use...

I spent 5 days in this hostel and it was great. The atmosphere is lovely and it has everything you would need. 2 large kitchens, TV room, free computers, games, library and a great roof top terrace looking over Quito, a perfect view while having breakfast. At $8 a night it is cheaper than some other recommended hostels. The beds...

Well last time I left Ecuador, I stayed a couple of nights in the Bambu. I liked the atmosphere so much, that I had to come back. But to be honest, Quito and the "Casa Bambu" have changed within the last two years. Quito got noisier and the Bambu got even better!!! The hotel counts with two kitchen, a big...

This is our second time at Casa Bambu. It is nicely located midway between the old town and the "new town". You can easily walk to either in 15 minutes. Not a lot of action close by but that's OK for us. They have 2 large kitchens and a super nice rooftop terrace with awesome views of Quito. Decent wi-fi,...

I stayed a couple of nights here, and it was so nice. It was easy access from most touristic places. I had no problem during my stay in Quito regarding this. Also, this hotel was totally good secured and well cleaned. Though I stayed in a private room with shared bathroom, I had no bad point on that. Normally I...

A backpacker's paradise that is away from the noise of the city. The only problem is that's it's kind of far from most restaurants and supermarkets (only a few mini marts near by) but it's a fun place to hang out at and the staff is very friendly. Taxis' always have a hard time finding it so make sure you...

All together we stayed three weeks in three different times. This is a 90% hard core youth hostel, but occasionally there are older folks like us who were drawn to it for the 180 degrees view of Quito from its terrace. The rooms were okay, but a couple of the "deep" rooms I looked at where air didn't circulate as...

“Pricing seems to be all over the place, I think someone must be skimming off the top because talking to others price did not correlate with quality. Check multiple rooms. Some are windowless, some keep the view over Quito. Also check the showers.”
