I was walking down this strip of hostals trying to choose where I was going to stay when I walked by loro verde. The owner was outside looking for business and offered to show me a room. Great! The room was everything I needed, private bathroom, comfy bed, for $10 per person with breakfast included. This was one of my...

i stayed at the loro verde for several nights, including over the weekend. as others have mentioned, the hostal is quite close to foch and some club noises can be heard at night on friday and saturday nights. i always travel with earplugs so i just popped those in and slept fine. the hostal is quite clean, the sheets and...

Casa Kanela and Pousada del Maple were full one day so forced elsewhere. Loro Verde is about a block closer to Foch Square than those. Turns out it was too close so on busy Foch Square nights (Thurs/Fri/Sat) too much noise came in my room for me to sleep well. Small room but small $16 price. Otherwise nothing that bad...

I stayed at Loro Verde for almost a month. Rooms are very clean and the staff was excellent. Great attitudes and helpful people. Very close to plaza Foch and all the restaurants and bars you could imagine. Great prices too.

This place has all you really need from a hostel. Loro Verde is very well located being just a 2 minute walk from the square where you will find bars and restaurants as well as travel agents etc. This is a great area for backpackers. I stayed in a private double room which was a good size and of a...

Located in a quiet sidestreet in the Mariscal area. Fairly comfortable rooms with private bathroom and ample space. Hot water service can be iffy. Still, comes recommended for the excellent location at good prices and good rooms.

I stayed here with my 80-yr old Mom & my brother. We had reserved a triple room w/a private bath which was ready. Very clean and comfortable beds and hot water. The location is great, close to everything, nice, quiet area. We slept very well. We returned about a week later returning from our travels while in Ecuador. This time...

Good location on a nice tree-lined street. Not much going on at this hostal but it's quiet and clean. Staff are courteous. I prefer a little more personality and interaction when I'm travelling but I was comfortable here.

I have stayed at the Hostal Loro Verde at least ten times... The same staff has been here for years and very helpful. Close to the shops, easy taxis late at night and and a safe place to stay. Never travel at night with any valuables... A good ideas in most locations and especially in Quito.

My wife and I spent one week at Loro Verde. We had a very nice clean room with a private shower and bath and a TV. The room faced the street and was on the second floor. Great location because you can walk to many bars and restaurants in "La Mariscal" area of Quito. Continental or American breakfast are included...
