We spent four days in Room 205 of Mansion del Angel in Quito. It was among the nicest experiences we have ever had. The room was beautiful, with a small porch that led to a lovely garden. The staff was unfailingly nice and helpful. The restaurant was very good, with impeccable service. The afternoon tea was extremely civilized, with cookies...

After reading the wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor, we booked 3 separate stays at Mansion del Angel in between trips to the Amazon & Galapagos. It truly became our home away from home - always welcomed back warmly by staff and given excellent service every time. We unfortunately first arrived with food poisoning from a flight and were too unwell...

My family and I lodge at the Mansion of the Angel for three days. There treats itself about a hotel boutique that has 15 rooms, recently improved, a time ago behind knew it as the Palace Cordobez, this hotel is located near the historical center of Quito. This is a lovely hotel. The staff are attentive and helpful. The decor is really nice as the entire property feels like someone’s well kept home. The included breakfast is lovely and the birds seem to chirp more than usual when it is raining outside. Walk around the beautiful gardens outside the breakfast area. If you're back from sight seeing...

We got picked up at the airport and were greeted with a moist towel and a bottle of water. After 10 hours of travel, I can tell you those little things meant a lot. In our room, fresh bouquet of roses and chocolates. Nice. The room was spacious and had lovely views. The staff was excellent, very friendly and always...

Mansion del Angel is a wonderful oasis in Quito's Old City. This historic building makes one feel like they are living in another century. The rooms are very comfortable with incredibly high ceilings and elegant beds. Best of all was Andres, who helped us with everything from a tour of the hotel and gardens to advice about the city and...

We were pleasantly surprised arriving at 11 AM, after an early morning flight that our rooms were ready, and equally surprised that check-out the following day was noon. The hotel is beautiful, with a lovely sitting room, garden and dining area and the rooms were also lovely. The staff couldn't have been more helpful (ordering taxis, restaurant recommendations, etc)

Don't get me wrong, this is a lovely place, but unless you are accustomed to functioning at 9000 feet above sea level it takes work to stay here. Housed in a beautiful historic town house, this hotel of only 15 rooms and suites is lovely. But, considering the high altitude, climbing the 23 steps to reach the front door is...
