We were visiting Ecuador for the first time and speak limited Spanish. We arrived at the hotel at 5:00 AM and not knowing what else to do, rang the doorbell. Ronnie answered and made us comfortable. The two desk managers we worked with ( Ronnie and Byron) were both extraordinarily helpful and caring. They treated us like family and gave...

The motel was nice and clean, rooms were just right, it is a little hard to find ,even by taxi, Employee were extremely friendly, when out of the way to accommodate us, had a nice breakfast. they can use a elevator for those who had to go up to the upper floors.

The rooms in this hotel are charming. There are interesting pieces of art and local history items all over the hotel to capture your interest. There were two sitting areas for guests to visit, share a glass of wine, read or access internet. It had some of the better internet connection of the hotels we stayed in while in Ecuador....

I stayed here with a group of 18 while traveling Ecuador. Ignacio and the rest of the staff were friendly and accommodating, taking the time to learn nearly the entire group's names! The hotel is also a short walk from a connivence store and shopping mall. Great for little adventures in the evening. The rooms were cute and unique as...

We love Sol De Quito- our group of 34 people get to stay there for 4 nights in April 2015. During our stay, the hotel was ONLY for our group (in 18 rooms) which was wonderful.... just like HOME. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Branson and Ignacio were excellent. One of the students forgot her glasses there, and...

The staff at the hotel was very helpful, especially Ignacio, and for that may be why the get high ratings. Also the breakfast was quite good. I stayed here one night and I was less than impressed. I liked this hotel but I think it is a bit overrated and overpriced. The location is great if you want to be...

Sol de Quito is a lovely hotel, beautifully furnished, in a veery quiet location. My room was very comfortable. Good mattress, nice desk and chair, hairdryer, everything you need. Breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I have been using the services of the hotel Sol de Quito since early 2014. I have been extremely satisfied with the quality of rooms, always helpful and nice staff, location as well as with the beautiful wooden retro design of the interior. I definitely recommend to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The best thing about it was the staff, who were all incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially Ignacio, who really bent over backwards to help us plan a variety of activities and excursions - and always with a smile. The hotel was also extremely QUIET, which is the most important thing to me,...

10 days of budget travel and camping, and an airbnb misadventure on my first night in Quito left me longing for more than the bare minimum of creature comfort: someplace warm and welcoming, a home in Quito for the next week.
