I stayed here for a week after filming a documentary in the Amazon. The staff were amazing and when I left, felt like I was leaving family. The price was extremely affordable and if I had friends going to Quito, I would highly recommend it!

I stayed for four nights. My room was on second floor of the main building. The staff service was allways great. The WiFi was free and strong. There was allways hot water (you have to run it for 2 mins). My room could get quite noisy from the hallway. The $2.00 breakfast is well worth it. This is a good...

$20 for a double room with private bathroom ($10 per person) $24 for a double room with private bathroom and WiFi ($10 per person) Firstly, don't bother paying the extra to have the WiFi in your room, it is not very good at all. I stayed on the 2nd floor and the signal was really poor. My iPod couldn't pick...

We walked out of another hostal and into this one- the staff was so friendly and helpful. For exactly the same price as the other place's double room with no towels or bath, this place offered a lovely double ensuite, linens and towels, even a TV. Breakfast is just $2, and very generous- served on the rooftop. Pluses: Great Old...

Chicago Hostel in Quito is a family run business. We loved our stay there. They have a beautiful terrace, great breakfast, very good suggestions for trips and clean rooms. Rooms to the street have nicer view, but are a little bit noisy. If you have light sleep, ask for a room without front window. The ladies at the reception have...

Stayed here for 3 nights in a private twin room for US$10pp. Room was good size, had a view of the cathedral and had a private bathroom. All rooms are close to the stairwell so you can hear people coming up and down the stairs all the time. Rooftop area is great with great views, although its quite cold up...

Two things I remember most about this hostel: First, my flight was delayed and I did not have a chance to call or email ahead of time. Immigration for some reason two 2 hours! So, I arrived at 2 am in the morning. Most hostels in Quito are all locked up at night, and this one was no exception. However,...

The small hostel is conveniently located near old town and have great staff that are extremely helpful. We arrived at 9 am and they checked us in immediately no questions asked. The rooms are small and clean and for $20 or so for a private room a great value. For an extra 3 dollars you get the superior room with...

We stayed at the Chicago Hostel for two nights in late March 2010. The staff are really friendly and helpful, especially Tatiana who is fantastic. Our room was Room 1, very comfortable beds, and very clean. The bathroom is super clean, with reliable hot water. It was a little noisy with traffic on the street, but most rooms in Quito...

Chicago Hostel was founded in 2003 in a modern building with modern structures and strong bases. These facilities were created to be a hosting business from the beginning. The rooms and bathrooms were not improvised so that they have adequate ventilation, adequate natural light and the system pressure and water temperature was set to supply a large number of people. Chicago Hostel is a family business with friendly and helpful staff, we are located in the heart of the city, inside a traditional neighborhood Quiteño considered part of the Old Town. It also has a good level of security and there is a police station two blocks away from our hostel. Privileged location, very close to the beating heart of Quito within walking distance to the main tourist attractions. We are located one block away from a main avenue where there is a lot of public transportation which could drive you to the rest of the city as La Mitad del Mundo, Teleférico, Airport, Interprovinciales bus stations, local bus stations, etc. We work hard to provide you a spectacular stay, help you with directions, information about transportation, safety tips and several recommendations that travelers need to have a nice and quiet visit to our city. We offer a place where you can rest and recharge your energy for a new day.
