Sad but true another of Quito's hidden gems torn down. This lovely old historic house has been torn down for over two years now and is being replaced by a hideous steel, cement high rise construction that will be part of Banco de Guayaquil.

What a lovely place! Most of the staff are super-friendly (there's one guy who's not, but he would take care of things when I asked him directly), the rooms are beautiful, and it's in a nice, quiet location within easy walking distance of the action. I'm usually a hosteller, so this was a nice splurge. They also have limited, secure...

We spent the first two nights in Ecuador at this hotel based on the enthusiastic reviews we read here, and then decided to go elsewhere (Hotel Cartuja). They even accommodated our flight arrival at about 12 midnight local time. The...

Intro: My girlfriend and I (25 years old) stayed 4 nights here when we were in Quito. Most days we left early for day trips (Otavalo and Cotopaxi) I took a chance on this place, in that there were limited reviews, I am hoping with this review this quiet place might get some more exposure. The Good: Value, Rooms, Awesome...

We stayed at this lovely hostal and we have been very happy with that decision. It's a budged chose hostal, has all the luxury, is very clean and has very friendly and helpful staff. We give this hostal our best recommendations and wouldn't hesitate staying there again.
