Though not the Hilton, for the price and overall satisfaction this hotel can not be beat. It's listed here as a B&B but I would say it is a regular hotel especially by south American standards. The staff are friendly, helpful, and by and large speak English. The owner Alberto a local and NYC transplant is extremely helpful. The breakfast...

What a classic hotel! Everything was absolutely lovely--from the moment we walked through the door. Beautiful flowers adorn each uniquely decorated room. We had the opportunity to view a number of the rooms. Breakfast was served in a delightful setting--and the service was excellent. At the end of our stay as we were exiting, we met the owner's mother. What...

I decided on this hotel from the previous reviews listed and am certainly glad I did. My husband and I spent three nights at this hotel and were extremely happy with our decision. The breakfasts were healthy and delicious. The hosts were absolutely the best. They always had a smile and had plenty of suggestions of places to go and...

After much research for a place to spend a month in Cuenca Ecuador I selected Casa Ordonez. I certainly made the right choice for myself and friends who were joining me at various times during my stay. Prior to my trip all my questions were answered promptly.. As we stepped out of the taxi we were greeted by Alberto Ordonez...

Alison, my friend and I, got to know Alberto the owner and his mother and could not have met a kinder more helpful host. The home is charming and service is impeccable. Alberto provided some wonderful advice as to places to eat, particularly Tiestos, which we had our Easter luncheon. What a feast! The B&B is located in a convenient...

My husband and I have just spent 8 nights at this most beautiful home. Alberto and his family, our hosts, couldn't have been more helpful or nicer. We stayed in the room Julia which was very comfortable and quiet. When we arrived my husband was not well and Alberto had a doctor come to check him out. The doctor went...

We chose Casa Ordonez as our base in Cuenca for two reasons. The first reason was the #1 TripAdvisor rating. The rating alone wasn't enough to sway us but, when a property has 127 five star ratings out of 136 total ratings, and NO one star or two star ratings, you have to believe that you're going to have a...

Originally planning to spend only a week in Cuenca, I quickly fell in love with the city and ended up staying for over a month. Alberto, his mother, and the staff at Casa Ordonez were a large part of my decision to do so. During my 40+ day stay at Casa Ordonez, I saw guests come and go. Each was...

We read and we read about Ecuador. We came because of International Living saying 'best place to retire' so we booked a flight the first week we had open and read up on trip advisor on where to stay. We realized the minute we arrived at Casa Ordonez that we did not have nearly enough time. I think the way...
