We came to Cuenca on business.A friend recommended hotel Presidente. The check in clerk was super nice and wanted to make sure we understood his Spanish. The room is a large size with a comfortable bed king-size. It's clean and has a view of the city. We stay here every time we're in Cuenca. This is our third stay and...

Excellent location with many attractions all within walking distance. Staff were available to answer any questions. Excellent breakfast buffet which came with the room. Room was fairly spacious with daily room service.

This hotel has a excellent location - virtually adjacent to the main square and the huge (and beautiful) Cathedral. The area abounds with coffee shops and restaurants. It is a very good area (safe!) for walking and we NEVER felt threatened. The hotel is clean and well appointed. The ONLY disappointment was NO English language TV - but I can...

If you are coming after a long trip to Cuenca, this is not your place to stay. We had to wait for two hours in the lobby for our room, they said to wait 20 minutes, then 15, then 20 again, and like that, two hours went by sitting in the lobby with bags and coats. They were not nice...

Upon our arrival we started our check in, the concierge made us paid up front for the rooms which I thought was uncommon but ok. After the check in we went up to our rooms to find that they were nothing like the pictures they had advertise. Honestly it look like a cheap motel and for the price, VERY EXPENSIVE...

We arrived after driving 8 hours expecting a quality hotel only to find our we were shown not actual pictures. Parking was also a disaster.. We could not take our car out when we wanted to leave. It was...

Very centrally located, you could walk to the whole centre. This is a pretty nice hotel; in an old building. The internet is shaky though, on and off. But all in all, for a mid range prize hotel I can recommend this place.

Shamelessly promotes itself as a 4-star hotel with 5-star service. More like a 2-star hotel by U.S. standards. May have had its heyday in the 1970s. No "colonial" charm here, just poorly kept up. Room was dirty in places, some furniture & carpet worn out, bathroom ceiling buckling and smells of tobacco, and the "grand hotel" entrance was not inviting...

They seem to cater to him larger family! The restaurant bar and breakfast area is large and well staffed! Overall it was a good...
