Great location, a few blocks from parque Calderon. Beautiful renovated small Colonial house. Rooms are extra clean and cozy. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Will come back, no doubt. Will recommend it to everyone. Loved it.

A very friendly and helpful staff add to the extreme charm of this beautiful hotel. We were there 4 nights, and were very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful, our room had a little balcony where we could watch the goings on in the street below. Nice little arty details decorate the interior of the hotel, the atmosphere is just...

Spent 2 days here, rooms are small, the nature of the area- old homes turned into hostels and hotels. The people at the desk are very helpful, to a fault. I never had a question unanswered or a problem not solved immediately. I had a car to park, and the traffic and congestion in the area made me edgy, but...

Casa San Rafael was the best place we stayed during our entire trip in Ecuador. It is extremely charming with a nice sitting area. The rooms are extremely clean and tastefully decorated. Their breakfast is good and the location of the hotel is wonderful. The staff is extremely helpful and always ready to help. We paid much more for lesser...

There was always some one at the desk 24 hours a day. Front desk staff all spoke very good English. The went above a beyond...

An old home, carefully restored--with especially charming public spaces. Great location just a couple of blocks from Parque Calderon, location of the famous "New Cathedral"; also only a few blocks from the river. This place is family-run, which shows up in the incredibly personal and accommodating service. Amazingly, although the hotel fronts on a busy street, the inside is quiet...

This is a warm and quaint hotel very centrally located and within easy walking distance to most museums, cathedrals, restaurants and shopping. We truly appreciated the accommodations they made when we had a last minute change to our itinerary. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel. Rooms are clean, spacious and bathroom was large with great water...

We stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed it! Just about everything is in walking distance. Staff was really nice and always helpful. Full breakfast and tea/coffee always available but get your own bottled water, which is no big deal and cheap.

I'm Ecuadorian traveling for the first time to Cuenca (I know I should've travelled there before moving to the US...but that's another story) I made a point that on my last visit to Ecuador I must go to Cuenca. It was super short (a night) but it was worth it and I wish I had stayed there longer. The hotel...

My wife and I had an outstanding three night visit to this charming little hotel. Initially we had planned on only two nights. It is centrally located, exceedingly clean, and the proprietors are wonderfully helpful. Best of all were the amazing breakfasts.
