This is a wonderful hotel, but even more impressive is the customer service team. Our room was beautiful, well appointed, and the breakfast buffet was top notch. The hotel is not in the old town, but it seemed like you could get anywhere you might want to go for a $2 taxi ride ($3 to the airport). This was the first time we had ever stayed at an Oro Verde hotel, but it won't be the last. We are already making plans for our return here. We really enjoyed our stay, and while the entire staff was incredible, we would like to extend a special thank you to María José Molina, who not only greeted us warmly upon arrival, but had promptly and professionally responded to all my email questions prior to our arrival. We truly appreciate everything this team did to make our stay memorable.

This was my second time ever to Cuenca and the second time I stay at this hotel. Service was simply fantastic, just as I remembered it from 7 years ago. The restaurant Altitud 2560 is fabulous, the food is amazing, and the staff is extremely helpful. I took their recommendation on the lomo saltado and it was wonderful. Yum! Early in my stay I mentioned to one of the waiters that I am a very early riser so I was wondering if there would be coffee available before the restaurant opened for breakfast. The next morning, someone brought a big pot of fresh coffee to my room at 5:30 a.m. Truly nice people working together at this place. I will be coming back.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone is so helpful, room is spacious, nice pool and love the breakfast buffet. The hotel is also well located with plenty of good restaurants and easy access to the Tranvia. Taking a taxi to El Centro takes only 5-10 minutes.

Very friendly, attentive, helpful and well-trained staff. Out of town, but the taxi ride only costs about $3 to the historic center and the location allows for a lovely swimming pool, adjacency to the river and walking/running path. The hotel also provides guests with access to a health club, right next to the hotel. Restaurant is great too. Again, the staff are just very nice and comfortable..

Had a great stay at the Hotel Oro Verde in Cuenca. The room was very spacious, I think it might be the largest hotel room I have ever stayed in. The room and the hotel are clean and the decor is modern. Staff are very warm and welcoming. The breakfast buffet is great, with a large selection of hot and cold foods and beverages. Highly recommend the in-house restaurant (not the deli, but the more formal one). The food is delicious and the presentation is beautiful. Everything was perfect, would definitely stay here again.

The best Hotel in Cuenca I recommend. The Oro Verde Hotel is one of the most famous in the entire country. They have a swimming pool, garden, gym, WiFi and garage. The rooms include a TV and, most importantly, a private bathroom with a shower. The beds are comfortable. Food is good with a wonderful presentation. The bedroom is spacious with a work desk and the bathroom has a comfortable bathtub. I totally recommend this hotel to everyone. The front desk is open 24 hours a day and laundry, dry cleaning and massage services can be requested. It also has a tour desk. The Hotel is located on Av. Ordoñez Lasso, 10 minutes from the city center and 30 minutes from the airport. It is a good alternative if you want to know the City, because its location is perfect. You can rest because there is not much noise. At the back of the Hotel there is a linear park and the Tomebamba river. Room service is excellent and they are very friendly.
