Beautiful colonial hotel located in the center of Cuenca. Just two street blocks from the central park, it has twenty exquisite decorated rooms. Each room is different from each other and they have all the comfort of a modern style room. Inside the hotel there are two restaurants considered two of the best restaurants of the city. The first one is named Bacus Caf., and it serves a modern Ecuadorian cuisine Nouve style. The second one is a Trattoria named Novecento. It is considered the best Trattoria of the whole country.

Detailed Reviews
This is a wonderful hotel in the heart of the beautiful old city. This is a tourists hotel really, a classic old colonial building with high ceilings and an atmospheric covered courtyard in the centre with the rooms around it, (ours was on the first floor balcony. This isn't a standard chain hotel with gym / pool/ business lounge and soulless corridors with hundreds of rooms. Every room here is different and the walkways are littered with various antique objects.
The room itself was well appointed although the beds were a bit soft for us, probably in need of some mattress replacements. The central courtyard is used as a restaurant which looked very good - although we ate elsewhere, as much to explore the city as anything else. Breakfast is served in a small restaurant ajoining the hotel - It would be nice to have it in the main courtyard but I suspect the noise from early guests would disturb those still sleeping. Breakfast was good but with a fairly limited selection.
We had a couple of glasses of wine in the courtyard in the evening before bed, house wine glasses wasn't obvious on the menu and we were a little concerned at what the bill would be, but it was fine.
The hotel is quite expensive - especially compared to other options in the city but I felt it was money well spent.

The facilities are impeccable, the rooms are very comfortable, the breakfasts are delicious, we tried the fanesca we loved it, and their tiramisu is a dream. The staff is very attentive and always making sure everything is perfect. We love it, this was the second time we chose them for our vacation.

A beautiful colonial building nicely decorated and with a lot of charm.
But the room we had was rather small.
Staff is nice and speaks English but for some reason, there is a lot of misunderstanding.
There is tea and coffee in the room & in the inner courtyard, however, we stayed 3 nights and they never refilled the coffee in our room.
Chocolate is left in the room on the first day as well as a personalised note from the manager.
You need to ask a member of staff for water as there is no water dispenser.
Breakfast is a buffet (only place we have had that during our stay in Ecuador) with the usual (juices, fruits, yoghurts, cereal, bread & pastries) + some hot foods with some Ecuadorian specialties such as lapingachos or mote. The eggs are in the hot section in the form of either poached, scrambled, mixed in mote, etc. These hot meals are only ok. There are also some slices of ham, cheese and tomatoes. Coffee is very nice.
The hotel recommended and booked us a guide to go to El Cajas Park for 70$ who in fact was only a driver who knew nothing about the area, did not know his way round and could not speak English. We managed to lower the price to 40$ after a long discussion.

Every time I am in Cuenca, I try to stay in this hotel. Its proximity to the city’s main square and all of its surroundings, including restaurants, monuments, government and local offices, make this place unbeatable. You sure can find a little bit of a hard time in getting a cab Because it’s right in the middle of it all, downtown speaking, but even if you walk a few blocks out you can easily get one. I have stayed here twice and I can’t wait to go back. The hotel is beautiful and full of antique era decor but at the same time it preserves its rich history with high ceilings that are carefully restored , a central patio featuring the hotel’s main restaurant which has delicious food. rooms that are each different and that feature L’occitane products are great. I have requested for late check out and got it and truly appreciate it. Breakfast could be better, tho. Inside the hotel you feature a bar and another restaurant called La Placita (where they serve breakfast) and it’s good but not really outstanding. I’d definitely recommend a stay here knowing the breakfast is nothing out of the ordinary.

Very good service, impeccable rooms, good breakfast. I tried the fanesca, I don't recommend it. The location is very good, close to Parque CalderĂłn and despite being in the center, it is a quiet and quiet street at night to sleep well.

Magnificent hotel, we stayed 3 nights with my wife and the attention of the staff made us feel at home. The location of the hotel is ideal for visiting the city, museums, churches and all places of interest. If they need a taxi, they will order one for you. The delicious food and the restaurant with an atmosphere that makes the evening unforgettable. Very complete and delicious breakfast. We were delighted with the hotel and its staff, whom we took the opportunity to congratulate. Magnificent hotel, we stayed 3 nights with my wife and the attention of the staff made us feel at home. I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. The front desk staff was quick to reply to emails prior to arriving. I ate in the hotel restaurant, the servers were attentive, and the food was excellent. I had to leave for the airport before breakfast was served but they prepared a wonderful "to go" breakfast for me and called a cab for the 5 minute ride to the airport.

It is an old house that is super well located. I had two rooms, one smaller and the other very comfortable. If you can, choose rooms with views that look bigger, but in general the rooms and bathrooms are very good. We didn't go to the restaurant but the terrace atmosphere is very cozy. I loved it to go with family. And the location is the best. Very close to CalderĂłn Park. You do everything walking.
I really recommend it. The park is one block away. But it is very good. And when you arrive they help you with your luggage and then you go to park.

The Hotel Boutique Santa LucĂa is a former 19th century colonial house, so the facilities blend the luxury and charm of an old house with the comfort of the 21st century. Hotel staff deliver outstanding service at the front desk, restaurant and bar. I highly recommend this hotel, in the heart of Cuenca.

This hotel is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The beds are so dreamy comfortable and the full sized L'Occitane products are luxurious. We really enjoyed the food both for breakfast and we dined for dinner. The wine list and food selections had many options and the service was impeccable, dining in that beautiful room is stunning. We had after dinner drinks in the bar and the ambiance was so chic.
