We stayed here for quite a few nights, and really enjoyed our time. When we very arrived early in the morning (before immediately heading out to colca canyon) they were so kind to let us use a room to rest in and refresh ourselves, even though ours wasn't ready yet. They also kept our luggage until we returned! The breakfast...

We booked a shared room but got upgraded and got our own room with bathroom: that's a good start. The place is charming, calm, clean, welcoming, central (just less than 5 min by foot from Cercado Arequipa), the owner is very kind, friendly and reliable (we had to fix a broken cellphone and he told us were to go: the...

Never having traveled to Peru we were unprepared for the unavailability of English speakers. However, Juan Carlos the owner of the Casa De Sillar is fully conversant, writes wonderfully and sees it as his mission to assure that visitors to his Casa are well taken care of. The accommodations are comfortable and the showers are warm. The interior is attractive...

This hostel is full of character and well taken care of. The bed was comfortable however the bathroom facilities are not the best. There was a bit of a problem with the hot water though this was solved after a short while. They washed our clothes for a fair price. The breakfast was very good and the location was good...

I had a great stay. The roof top became my favorite place to relax and get better from un- welcomed sickness . I ended up staying for over a week and was happy to be in a safe and clean place. Everybody was caring and nice.

Our stay was a complete disaster. They gave us a crappy room close to the kitchen and main entrance. The shower is next to the bed in a weird built in construction. It gives a horrible smell when you've just taken a shower. Also the toilet get's completely wet because it's placed directly next to the shower. The worst thing...

Thank you Juan Carlos and colleagues for making our stay so lovely, and for being so accommodating and caring when illness struck us! This hostel had a real family feel, with very good breakfast and good WiFi. La Casa del Sillar is only a short walk away to the centre of the town and can organise easily a trip to...

A beautiful place to stay in a great location close to the centre of Arequipa. The staff are incredibly helpful and very friendly. Extra special thanks to Juan Carlos, who helped us out immensely during our entire stay. I recommend La Casa De Sillar to anyone without hesitation.

La Casa de Sillar is awesome! Located within ten minutes' walk from the Plaza des Armas, and less to Monasteria de Santa Catalina, this place is a true gem. JuanCarlos is a wonderful boon to this place, able to advise and organize last minute tours, laundry, luggage storage and who knows what else! Haha. Also there is an adorable homestead...
