MAJESTAD Hotel Boutique is a beautiful colonial-style mansion dating from 1801, its construction is based on white ashlar, volcanic stone with which the old colonial buildings were built, now completely renovated and redesigned to provide the best accommodation service to our clients. Inside its facilities you can see a beautiful sink carved in granite stone and a traditional passage of that time, decorated externally with pots of geraniums and other plants that can be seen in each patio, highlighting its architectural beauty, which not only impresses for its infrastructure; but also for its quality of personalized service.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much. We were two familes in two different rooms, one near the fountain and the other one facing the street. The family near the fountain had no issues, but those of us facing the street did not sleep very well due to the noise on the street from all the buses and cars riding all night long. This was something out of the control of the hotel and we never asked for a room change, so I can't blame the hotel for this. Everything else was just perfect. The staff was so nice that they kept all our luggage while we were on a tour to the Colca overnight (staying at a differen hotel in Chivay). They even offered showers for us upon our return from the tour. Also, my mom stayed a few hours by herself at the hotel and she wasn't feeling that well so she just wanted something light to eat. One of the stuff members offered to buy her something to eat on her way to the main plaza and she did!. That totally deserves the 5 star review.

The hotel has all charm and problems of an old colonial building (and probably maintenance, too). It is very well located (several blocks away from the main square and very close to the “Juanita” museum), it has a beautiful patio with flowers and fountains. In my room there was no street noise, but the fountain water falling (just at my doorstep)was not so soothing and sounds from the front office were quite loud. Rooms are spacious, old-fashioned, though clean enough. Meanwhile towels and bed sheets were old and with some old stains. Bedcover definitely asked for a good wash. WiFi was slow and interrupted. Breakfast was OK.

Room Tip: Rooms looking into the patio are quiet, especially those distanced from the front office.

Really cosy hotel within walking distance from Plaza de Armas. Rooms were okay, but nothing special. The same counts for the breakfast buffet. Nice and helpful staff. The Big plus is the location close to everything you need while in Arequipa.

This hotel was one of the best hotels we booked during our trip in Peru. The staff were very helpful and kind. The room was clean and all the facilities were fine. It was a short walk to the main square, the streets were well lit and safe. All in all would book again!

The room was spacious and clean. The staff was polite and helpful. The hotel is located approximately 10 minutes walk from the main plaza. There was no glass over the toilet door in our room, so you could hear everything... Breakfast was basic. We had a good stay and good sleep.
