This was a great place to stay in Arequipa. Very tastefully decorated. Restaurant was also elegant. Rooms were large and very comfortable. The copper sheet wall hangings were exquisite. People - who make the difference - were very courteous and homely. Will come again.

I had reason to travel to Arequipa for business. I chose the Sonesta Hotel in Arequipa due to the positive reviews, but one never knows what they will actually find. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel lived up to the reviews and my expectations. The rooms were large with a comfortable bed (the most important thing for me on my trips). The extended service was exceptional — always greeting me at the front lobby. I didn’t try the complimentary breakfast, but I was able to eat twice in the restaurant and both meals where excellent. The hotel was also able to schedule transportation to and from the hotel for me, which is a huge plus as well. The next time your Arequipa — don’t miss this gem of a hotel.

The hotel is new, modern, with excellent service. It is far from the center of Arequipa, which you should know, but for me it was very comfortable staying in this hotel and calling a taxi. The area where it is located is not very developed, so is in a tranquil environment. The hotel is within a mixed use project. The rooms are comfortable and modern. The restaurant has excellent service and they serve a buffet breakfast with a great variety of Peruvian food. At the reception you will find a variety of teas, especially coca tea, which you should try because of the height of the place, and they also have cookies to accompany it. I would stay at this hotel again, when visiting Arequipa.
