I fell in love with Cusco and Casa de la Gringa was a big part of that affair. It easily checks all the boxes - the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the showers are hot with decent pressure, but it's so much more than that that makes Casa de la Gringa stand out. Lesley has poured her heart... More

Landed in Cusaco, met by friendly Taxi Driver, who was quite ready to carry bags to hostel. Thank goodness. Checked in offered coffee, shown around and got to choose my own room. It was clean, new bedding, colourful. Felt very comfortable and at home. And it never changed. People coming and going all day. It was fantastic and ia was... More

Nice and quiet location in San Blas. You can do the San Pedro ceremony here. We had a double room with shared bathroom. It was a little cold but we found out you could ask for a heater if you wanted. There is a kitchen you can use. Breakfast was good - fried eggs or scrambled, bread and jam. People... More

I really enjoyed my four nights here. The hostel has a friendly and relaxed vibe - lots of couches etc, which is nice if you want some downtime but don't feel like being shut up in your room. I also really appreciated the communal bookshelf, featuring lots of spare Lonely Planet Peru guides to borrow, which came in v. handy.... More

Enjoyed four nights here and will be back. Its perfect for the traveler who will only be there to sleep and shower. There is wifi in the dining and sitting areas. The owner is warm and inviting. The other guests were friendly and helpful. Great for backpackers. Be aware, however, if you a bringing lots of luggage that the taxi... More

The location is very good and there are some very friendly helpful staff working here. We stayed in the Gypsy suite and were sold on pictures that looked like some care and effort had been put in to the place. The main issues that let this place down for us were that there were no curtains in the room on... More

Located in the heart of Cusco's vibrant and funky San Blas neighborhood, Casa de la Gringa was my introduction to Cusco. For many, Casa de la Gringa is a portal into the “spiritual/shamanic” world of Peru, and provides a safe introduction into this culture for those who are not familiar. The showers are divinely hot, and all the staff are... More

This hostel is a short walk away from the "Plaza de Armas" which is the main square in Cusco. It´s an even shorter walk to the area of San Blas which has restaurants and nice shops with plenty of souvenirs. The staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were clean and there´s always somebody to help you with directions and suggestions... More

We stayed here for 6 nights recently and had a friendly greeting from the night shift man ! The location in San Blas is great (great restaurants and bars around) and you feel very safe. Beds are comfy and sufficient blankets are given to keep you toasty! Breakfast is good - a choice of fruit salad or eggs with bread... More
