We stayed twice at this boutique hotel during our recent vacation; before and after our visit to Machu Picchu. Our first two nights were on room 101, very spacious room but it is on the first courtyard, right next to the stairs and main entrance, so it can get a bit noisy. The second stay was on room 208, beautiful...

When we arrived in Cusco, we were told that there was a problem with the hotel we had booked and that they were putting us up in a different hotel for the night. I went along with it, but was upset/nervous on the inside. I never book a hotel without reading tons of reviews. I had no idea what was...

Beautiful old hotel with clean, simple rooms and a friendly staff. We felt well cared for here, enjoyed the excellent breakfasts, and already booked a room for a return trip. There was plenty of hot water. Our rooms were cleaned daily and left beautiful. They stored a bag for us during our Inca Trail trip at no cost and they...

Massive room , with heaters (very convenient), Nice bed. Front desk quite kind, , good breakfast. Not spectacular, but very good. WI FI worked uneven, some areas with no coberture. 7 minute walk (downhill) to Plaza de Armas. We did not try the restaurant.

We spent 2 days in the hotel on a "Doble Superior" room, very kind people, excellent breakfast with a lot to choose, clean and nice warm rooms. Room service and all you need. Hope to come back again soon.

Tambo is decently located and quiet, which is important if you are headed to do a challenging trek in the mountains. However the morning receptionist didn't quite have it together (e.g. our boxed breakfast consisted of 4 pieces of bread, which we did not order). Maybe it was the language barrier? They tried to make it up to us the...

Initially stayed in a junior suite on the 2nd floor which was a loft type of room. It was very spacious and had 3 queen-sized beds. The second day, since our reservation wasn't linked, we moved to a junior suite on the 1st floor which was the same room category but without the loft feature. Room was still spacious and...

My partner and I stayed here on our return from Ollantaytambo, and wanted something special for our last few days before returning to Lima. The hotel is a little out there, maybe 5-6 blocks from the main Plaza - uphill; not a problem but if you're acclimatising it can be a struggle. The hotel doesn't have a sign per se,...

Just as the sister hotel in Tambamba , InKa del Tambo is a fabulous place with oversized InKa artefacts, this one is redolent with a feel for Spanish aristocracy and religious artefacts all beautifully displayed. Our room has a strange little open balcony where we might wave to our followers but it adds to the feeling of royalty. The wood...

I could not possibly say enough nice things about Tambo del Arriero in Cusco. The rooms were nice and breakfast was warm and tasty. But it was the hotel staff that really made the difference. They continually went above and beyond. We checked out of our room at 6am to catch the bus to Machu Picchu, only to find out...
