Everything was lovely at Tierra Viva. You can't really wrong, and they made are trip easy. Highly recommended and most likely the nicest hotel we stayed at during our trip. Staff were very friendly and the beds were firm and large and clean sheets were greatly appreciated after 4 days of roughing it on the Inca Trail.

Tierra viva was the perfect place to stay while in Cusco. We stayed elsewhere by Plaza San Blas and this location was much better and it is a block away from the police station. It felt very safe at all times. The hotel staff went out of their way to provide accommodations. The room was beyond our expectations and a... More

Very stylish room with an excellent location and unbeatable price. Nevertheless, what really set this place a part is the customer service. Very welcoming and friendly staff that were all very eager to help. I also personally witnessed them going above and beyond to help one of the guests who was having trouble acclimitizing to the altitude. Thanks for a... More

We stayed for 4 days in Cuzco prior to doing the Inca trail. The rooms were clean and there was fresh water delivered daily to the rooms. Breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful. Only negative was on the return from the trail for our final night the room was still not ready at 5pm. The staff were... More

Beautiful, stylish and big room, huge bed, very quiet and very friendly and helpful (English-speaking) staff. We stayed here 4 nights and loved it. Rooms look out on central courtyards, with the most healthy cyclamen I've ever seen. No problems with people sitting out there smoking and drinking beer at night, but then again it was the dead of winter.... More

Good location. Nice comfortable and very clean rooms. A well maintained hotel. Tasty and very nice served breakfast. 2 major problems: 1. Too much stairs getting to the lobby and to a few rooms. 2. Some of the stuff at the reception didn't speak English so well. It caused some misunderstanding.

This is not a big expensive hotel and its construction around courtyards makes it interesting. The rooms were large with nice bathrooms. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our hotel in Cusco is located in what used to be an elegant colonial residence. Throughout the hotel you’ll find a charming contrast between this imperial city’s rich history and modern convenience and comfort. Our spacious rooms are an invitation to rest, offering the ideal place to refuel and start a new day of exploration and discovery. As was characteristic in large colonial residences, our hotel has two interior patios where our guests can relax during a sunny afternoon or enjoy a soft breeze at the end of the day. ... more   less
