Just got back from a 3 night stay at Palacio del Inka. What a gorgeous hotel near the central plaza. There is some construction going on but it's not overly intrusive. The hotel itself is classic and beautiful. The rooms are large and comfortable and well appointed. The service is impeccable. Rene at the front desk had been helping me since before I arrived. He was super responsive in communication and made sure everything was perfect for us. He and Victor greeted us upon our arrival at the hotel. They were both so welcoming and kind. They were professional and courteous while being warm and sweet. They were both so eager to help us and make sure we were happy. Breakfast was included with our titanium benefit and the food was excellent. The entire staff is extremely well trained so kudos to management for doing a great job. Of course the local people in Cusco are all so lovely, I suppose that helps a lot. But the staff at the hotel really goes out of their way to be warm and attentive. The doormen were always so friendly and welcoming. It felt like coming home. The only downside was our breakfasts to go. One morning we had to leave before the restaurant opened so we had packed breakfasts to go. I would never complain about the complimentary breakfasts but I paid for two extra breakfasts and they were inedible. I'm not sure when they were made but everything was stale and the bread on the sandwich was so hard, it felt like toast but it was not. I ended up feeding it to the stray dogs. I didn't receive croissants like they promised and instead got hard, old muffins. Fed that to the dogs too. So don't get the breakfasts to go. Eat in the restaurant. The tiny cinnamon rolls there are to die for. I could eat a million. Maybe not that many but I would be happy to die trying. The covid tests offered at the hotel are easy but make sure if you are submitting them for Verifly, you put your own birthdates on the form. They lab doesn't do that and Verifly will not approve your test without that information.

Dear Victoria R, Thank you for having taken the time to share the details of your stay with us. Both the good and the improvement opportunities. I believe a most heartfelt apology is in order. No guest should expect an incomplete box breakfast with stale items in it. I assure you we are taking immediate action to avoid this from happening in the future. I will have my team follow up with you in private. In regards to the positive aspects of your stay, let me tell you that the whole staff is very flattered with such nice comments; especially René and Víctor. It is so rewarding to see that our guests recognize our team's efforts to make it brilliant for our guests. Best regards, Andres Rosero General Manager Palacio del Inka, a Luxury Collection Hotel

Great colonial style hotel, displays the historic mix of cultures, the ancient Inca foundations show such pride and engineering wonders over which Spanish conquest built their elaborate style. The true gem of this Palace is the wonderful staff, their dedicated services and kind manners will make you fill at home. A wonderful trait of the people from Cuzco. A special mention to Mr. Josver who’s warm welcome stands out and to Ms. Ana Cecilia (Venturia) for her excellent planning of our entire tour.

The joy of Cusco often happens inside of the stone walls, as in the Inca Palace Hotel. After exploring Machu Picchu the church is Cusco, after your legs are worn out by the stone, it’s a delight to enjoy the breakfast in this beautiful old hotel. The flakiest questions I have had in Latin America and wonderful service attentive and kind Incredible smoked trout. Take your coffee to the courtyard sit in the sun and enjoy the sound of the fountain and the flowers. An amazing way to relax.
