Spent 5 nights here visiting the sacred Vally and then one further night on returning from Machu Picchu. On arrival we were greeted with a cup of coca tea and given advice on how to avoid altitude sickness and what to do in the event of developing symptoms. Coca tea was available free of charge 24/7 and oxygen was also...

This hotel is well located, a short walk to the Plaza and San Blas. The hotel is quite nice, comfortable and serves a nice breakfast. The rooms are spacious, and the property is attractive with several adorable patios. The only problem is the manager, who never smiled and tended to make you feel unwelcome. Despite his demeanor, the staff were...

If you plan to make Cusco your base to explore Machu Picchu, then Rumi Punku is a good choice. Located in a cul-de-sac lane quarter of a mile away from the Plaza des Armas, it is a very cosy hotel with 30-40 rooms. They are arranged around a central courtyard at various levels. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The...

We stayed here for 2 nights then after a break to go see Machu Picchu we returned for a further night. We asked for the same room because it was so lovely with a view across the roof tops and the city. The hotel has lovely coutyards and an intimate atmosphere. Good location, good service, comfortable room, baggage storage while...

Rooms were nice and clean. I love the common areas, where you can sit and have some coca tea and enjoy a nice view of the surrounding city. Breakfast was fantastic. Location was good, right around the corner from Jack's restaurant (highly recommended!). Advice for Cusco - beware of bus rides through the mountains, unless you have a death wish....

What a pleasant relief to arrive at the Rumi Punku after seeing the enormous changes in Cuzco. It felt like I was visiting an old friend. It's reminiscent of the old Cuzco I knew and first fell in love with in 1976 with it's Inca wall foundation topped by Spanish colonial architecture and it's welcoming and beautiful courtyard. This hotel...

The airport to hotel transfer is free. The people who meet you are very nice. The hotel is located within 5 mins relaxed walk from the main square, which was perfect. In previous posts someone mentioned that walking around town may be an issue - this is true in the first days if you are not fit (altitude sickness) but...

My wife and I stayed here for a couple of days before and after the Inca Trail in June 2012. Comfortable rooms, very pretty courtyards and lobby/dining area. The rooms are very clean. When we first arrived, then bed we had was way too firm for us, but they gladly switched us out to another room. The staff is very...

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The staff is friendly and very professional. Good breakfast, coca mate available and free during all day. Transfer from airport to hotel included on the booking. If you desire to go to Machu Picchu they store your luggage for free. The Inka Portal located in the Hotel is really amazing. If you...
