I always stay at this place when I visit Cusco (often as a tourleader) and have only fond memories of Garcilaso. It is a simple, colonial style house with a courtyard, three minutes walk to the Plaza de Armas. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quite basic rooms of all sizes, but I recommend upgrading to the triple room on the...

I stayed at Hotel Garcilaso II with a couple of friends and we had an excellent stay. The hotel is located 4 blocks from Plaza de armas (Main Square) and from there you can walk to the main touristic places. There are plenty of restaurants and markets in the area. We got a room with a nice view to San...

Really liked this hotel three blocks from Plaza de Armas and one block from Plaza San Francisco. Room was large, wifi not so stable but we were there to explore. Tea and water available 24 hours. Staff always helpful called our guide when I was feeling the effects of altitud.

I had a group of 14 people travel with me and all were delighted with their accommodations in the Garcilaso II, just a couple of doors toward San Pedro from the Hotel Garcilaso I. Rooms were spacious, beds comfy, and water was hot in the shower! It is in a prime location, just three blocks from the Plaza de Armas,...

We stayed here twice with a few days away in between. First room on first floor of Garcilaso 2 was really good and comfy, balcony a nice touch. But despite booking same hotel (because reviews seemed slightly better) we were told it was full and moved to Garcilaso 1. Here room wasn't good: doors didn't fit frames, noise and light...

This is a welcoming hotel, with a hearty fire in the reception area. It is really well placed for Cusco city centre, the rooms are fine and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is good and the courtyards are very relaxing. But be careful which room you get. The ones close to the road are very noisy (pedestrians, but more...

The hotel location is fabulous. But the one reason why I would stay again in Hotel Garcilaso 1 is because of its amazing staff. The property needs some renovation as it is old but the staff go out of their way to make you comfortable and fulfil your wishes all the time being wonderfully polite and helpful. I had a...

Had several nights her while in Cusco after checking out of a different hotel due to noise. Our room here was lovely and quiet, and reasonably comfortable. The staff spoke reasonable English and the location is excellent! We were happy enough staying here, but it could be improved. Our room seemed to be almost dusty, as though it was cleaned...

A friend and I stayed at Garcilaso II - there are actually two separate hotels on the same street, just a few doors down from each other. We stayed here on 3 different occasions during our time in Peru and had a great experience. The location of the hotel is perfect for many must-sees in Cuzco. We were able to...

It's literally across chocolate museum (choco museo). We stayed 2 nights with one night away in between (machu picchu tour). One time we stayed on 2nd floor and WiFi didn't work well, the second time on 1st floor it worked well. Breakfast is buffet style it's 5-10 and they have variety of food. I like the staff there, very friendly....
