This wasn't our first choice but reviews were fine and we were happy to make the booking. It is very well located and a reasonable price, wifi included and very secure. We did get off to a bad start though when we arrived about 9pm after a long day coming from Macchu Picchu. Checked in and went to our room...

Close to plaza, many nice restaurants nearby, clean rooms and a good breakfast, what more can you ask for- maybe a few less roosters and I think fireworks (not gunshots) in the morning. One of the better hotels we stayed in Peru.

Hotel Ruinas is very well located just two blocks from Plaza de Armas, and beside JW Marriot at Cusco. The hotel is not big and is not luxurious, however is very comfortable and practical. It has WiFi, is clean and has a decent restaurant. It is the best you can get by this price in this location. Highly recommended.

Despite it's amusing name (in English that is) and the connotations this suggests, this was the most pleasant hotel that we stayed in during our three weeks in Peru. We had a quiet room on the first floor towards the back of the hotel and for the first time had windows that we could open to allow some air to...

I stayed at hotel ruinas June 2015. We had a triple room on the top floor which was very large and comfortable. No elevators but staff happily brought out luggage up and down for us. The breakfast was pretty good. I was obsessed with the coca tea and would have it every time I walked into the hotel. I found...

We spent the last night in this hotel before leaving Peru and it was wonderful experience. The hotel does not have elevators, but it has rooms on the first floor. Although we got the third floor room, after Maccu Picchu experience it was piece of cake! The proximity to the Plaza de Armas is great and you don't need to...

This hotel is only 10 minutes walk from the square. Breakfast is good had dinner in also which was good as well. The main part of our room was a reasonable size but the bathroom on the small side. Had under floor heating bonus.

This was our second stay at Hotel Ruinas, our first being in March 2011, and we came back for a reason. Ruinas isn't the cheapest place in Cusco, but when you're on a whirlwind tour of another country (and likely scrambling to get to your Machu Picchu excursion), you want someplace that feels clean and safe. It's also not that...

We stayed at Hotel Ruinas on our first night in Cusco, and then again after two nights visiting Machu Picchu. We were very tired after a long bus ride from Chimbote and then flight from Lima, and to walk into this lovely, immaculate hotel was such a treat!
