I cannot believe this place gets any good reviews. It was absolutely disgusting. We arrived late at night and only stayed that night because it was pouring rain outside but we could not wait to leave. It was one of the worst nights of sleep I’ve ever had. The room was small, damp, dark, and dingy and had an overpoweringly foul smell. The beds were hard and lumpy and the bedding had clearly not been changed as there were hairs and other signs of use. The blankets were smelly and had stains all over them and the room was cold. I never got used to the stench in the room and woke up all night smelling it. Breakfast was two plain rolls with butter, coffee, and juice. Although the staff was friendly enough, when my friend left her phone charger in the room they were unable to locate it when we went back the next day. I received an email the day after that saying that they had found the charger, but when we wasted a second trip back to pick it up, they could not find it again. We were the only guests staying there at the time. When we moved to a similarly priced but much nicer hotel, it was full of travelers.

We have thoroughly investigated all the claims of this guest. This is our side of this story: 1. As soon as the guests arrived, tired and late at night, the guests explicitly demanded to stay on the top floor. Against our advise because it was indeed pouring outside, all night, and the noise is of the rain is deafening, it won't let you sleep. We suspect that the sleepless night led to this catastrophic review. 2. It is absolutely false to claim that the bedding is not changed. We manage a strict housekeeping schedule and we can demonstrate that we changed the linnen that day. It is curious how all other reviews price our cleanliness except these guests. 4. The rooms can indeed be cold at night, but we offer electric heating. 5. Our breakfast consists of: fresh bread, butter, coffee or tea, fruit juice, ham, mermelade, eggs (scrambled or cooked) every day! We have no idea why the guests claim that we didn't offer the last three items. It doesn't make sense, why would we do that? We serve a full breakfast to everyone and we're always glad to offer more bread or eggs whenever the guests ask for it. 6. The story about the phone charger is simply not true. We found the charger in the room, stored it away safely, sent out an email about it and returned the charger the first time the guests came back to fetch it. Why invent a story about it that just didn't happen? It would be nice if TripAdvisor could check the veracity of wild stories that guests something deem necessary to put on the Internet. We fully accept it when there is something to improve on our side, provided the review is fair and honest, which this one is clearly and demonstrably not.

We stayed for two nights and didn't enjoy our stay unfortunately. There were some positives such as the friendly reception staff and the airport pick up. They also let us into our room early so that we could get straight to sleep after a long flight and early arrival. We stayed in low season and think we were the only ones there which may have contributed to the very basic breakfast which didn't include the same food that other reviews mentioned. There was no heating and the rooms were very cold. We also had ants in our bathroom and the window wouldn't shut so it was very loud with traffic. The location was good and very close to the town centre so it was a convenient place to stay but we wouldn't recommend it.

I am sorry your stay wasn't as expected. We took measures against the ants and we shall shortly repair the window. It has been unseasonally cold in Cusco this month, that is true, but we always offer electric heating if you ask in Reception. Thanks for your comments; it is always good to hear where we can improve.

My wife and I stayed here in May 2019 for 4 days. The hotel is more of a bed and breakfast by North American standards which was even better given the location and theme of our trip. Overall, this hotel is a 9/10 and I would recommend everyone visiting Cusco stay here. Positives: - 3min walk to the main square where the restaurants and shops are - extremely accommodating staff. The Manager Manuel is extremely attentive and booked all our excursions before we arrived in the country. Prices were often cheaper then doing it yourself, not too mention the tours were private. - WhatsApp account for the hotel. Use it to book and confirm details of your tours with the Manager. - Complementary airport shuttle - free daily custom breakfast (eggs, fruit, toast, coffee, juice). Even when we got up at 4am to leave for Machu Picchu they packed us a to-go bag - large rooms with comfortable bed - great views from their terrace. You can have breakfast there but it's too cold in May - staff put hot water bottles in our bed during the day to ensure we are comfortable - coca leaf tea Negatives: - honestly tough to find them.... as the o ly things that came to mind where poor toilet pressure and barking street dogs one night. Those are both very Peru so nothing the hotel can do. Verdict... do it and enjoy Cusco!

3 of us stayed in a triple for about 4 nights and then 1 night after arrival from the Salkantay Trek, and we all loved it this cute hotel! We each had our own bed, and the room/bathroom was clean upon arrival both times. The location was great (~12 minute walk from the main square), and it was easy to find places to eat nearby (there is also a grocery store around the corner). There was more than enough room for 3 people to stay in one room, and the shower always had hot water. The courtyard was a very cute place to chill out in the morning. There is free breakfast every morning as well as hot water and coca tea at all hours. Most importantly, the staff was so nice and accommodating (i.e., they kept our bags while we were gone for 5 days free of charge, unlocked the hostel at 4 AM for us, booked taxis for us, let us borrow their phone when my friend's luggage was lost at the airport, and there was always someone at the front desk 24/7). I would definitely stay here again if I were in Cusco.

A friend and I stayed in Cusco for a week at the Cusi Wasi! There are so many good things to say about this place. Clean rooms, friendly staff, comfortable beds and a cool vibe! To top it off was Victor! He was super friendly, and very very helpful! He booked us taxi’s held our bags for us twice( the second time we had checked out) and was kind enough to let us hang out to wait for our overnight bus out of town! I would definitely stay here again!!
