I stayed here in early 2018 for two weeks and had 8 ceremonies (my choice) although there were more offered. The hosts were helpful and the room was basic but clean and had bug nets and comfortable beds. The jungle sounds can be a little noisy at times but this healing center is beautiful. One Maestro in particular changed my life and his name is Walter. I have not suffered Seasonal Affective disorder or any depression since my time there and I am saving to go back. I met wonderful people and felt safe as a solo female traveler.
We arrived in Iquitos and there was a man already waiting for us to take us to Caya Shobo. When we arrived at the retreat they immediately showed us our room which was nice and clean with mosquito nets around the beds. They cleaned our rooms and bathroom frequently and made the room up with clean sheets, fresh towels and floor coverings. The food we ate was excellent and was specifically prepared to coincide with the plant diets. There was always enough food to eat. The beds in the Malowka were super comfy with fuzzy comforting blankets. The Malowka was cleaned daily. The Maestro's were exceptionally well gifted in the Icaros and I felt immediate changes when they sang to me or the group. I was diagnosed with Complex PTSD a couple years ago due to child hood trauma, addiction and alot of other trauma along the way. Thanks to the Maestro's at Caya Shobo I have life changing results and have found peace in places I never thought possible. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The othe travelers were all on same healing journey and we got to connect with them on a deeper level if we chose to during sharing time, or our free time. Caya Shobo is a great place to go to heal and we plan on going back as soon as we can. Also, the plants prescribed by the Maestro's have a deep impact on self and you can continue them when you leave. Caya Shobo is a place for healing and heal it does. Thank you for reading, Lisa Eimer…
Our stay at Caya Shobo was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was nice, the food was amazing and the maestros were incredible. Everything was very well organized and the entire property was very secure. We will be returning and would definitely recommend it highly to anyone. Thank you to everyone there.
I have now been to Caya Shobo twice, both for very intensive 10 day retreats. Once in Jan, and again in Dec of 2019. Words can't even describe how amazing each process and experience was for me. The level of care and attention that goes in to each and every person there was over and above what I expected. My time there was valued and respected, and I was always made to feel there was someone available to help me go through whatever I needed too, whenever I needed to. I felt very safe, both physically and emotionally while in the hands of the staff and volunteers at the center. From the moment you arrive at the center, it becomes clear that the experience of the guest is the priority of EVERYONE working at Caya Shobo. As I say, words can't help me describe how powerful and profound my transformation was while at Caya Shobo. What I can do is strongly recommend this center to anyone serious about a deep experience, not only with the medicine of ayahuasca, but into the very nature of yourself, your spirit, your mind and body, and your place in this world :)…
I spent 3 weeks in this friendly center this October and it was my second visit. When i came here for the first time I wanted to find solution for my interior problems and to heal physically and mentally and i had a good result. After i came back home i felt myself renewed, more free and full of love to the other people and the whole world. It was an amassing feeling that i’ve never had before. Some very useful thought came to me during ceremonies and i had never thought that way before. It concerned directly me, directly my life and it was like a very useful discovery for me that i couldn't make with several psychologists. It helped me a lot to looked at my life from the other side. I noticed how people were coming and leaving this center. For the beginning many of them remained a bit closed by then day by day became more and more opened, kind and happy. I met many people there who really felt better and received a healing process. If you are not just curious to know what Ayahuasca is and really need a deep healing for you body, soul and spirit, it’s better to come at least for two weeks. it’s also important to have a strong intension for you visit, to prepare for dieting and to learn something about this ancient medicine. There are some really good documentaries about it. Of course, Ayahuasca opens our mind and could lead us to something that is more than we can understand. For example, i had several hard ceremonies for me, but experienced facilitators helped a lot to explain everything and they supported so much. After every ceremony’s night we could talk to Maestros and discuss our experience with facilitators and ask if we had any questions or something private to share. I believe there’s much about ourselves in this Ayahuasca healing process, how much we trust ourselves and to the universe, how much we want and really need and how deeply we are spiritual and ready to follow this part. As for me, i’m very glad that i came here and hope to come again and again. All the staff of the center always is very kind and friendly, people are very opened to the new visitors and ready to explain everything. Thank you, guys, for this great job!…
