Caya Shobo is an esteemed Ayahuasca retreat healing center nestled in a gentle jungle rainforest setting, just 45mins outside the historic Amazonian city of Iquitos, Peru. Caya Shobo closely follows the Shipibo tradition of healing. We work only with genuine Shipibo maestras and maestros who hold high knowledge of their ancestral traditions - in particular Master Plant Dieta healing. Caya Shobo is one of the only Ayahuasca Healing Centers in the world to have received endorsement from Coshikox (the Shipibo Konibo Xetebo Tribal Council) as to the authenticity of our medicine offering in accordance with the true Shipibo traditions. We welcome visitors of all ages and backgrounds who wish to experience the profound healing benefits of Ayahuasca and journey into an awakening of spiritual consciousness in the safety and care of highly experienced practitioners and the peaceful, secure environs of Caya Shobo. Caya Shobo has received thousands of western visitors since the facilities first opened in 2016 and our healers have achieved profound results in treating numerous modern illnesses including depression, post traumatic stress disorder, certain cancers, and many other physical, mental and emotional ailments affecting the world's population today. Caya Shobo offers Ayahuasca retreats and plant dieta healing retreats throughout the year. Prices include Ayahuasca ceremonies, plant treatments, accommodation, meals, airport transfers, laundry service, wi-fi. Standard rooms are spacious private rooms (with private bathroom) in simple adobe/concrete structures which allow airflow and coolness in the jungle heat, while providing protection from the elements. Private jungle tambos are isolated huts situated deeper in the jungle (without a private bathroom but with the feeling of being completely immersed in the jungle ambience).

I have been traveling to Caya Shobo for 9 years and bring the graduates of my Shamanic Programs yearly. I respect the owners of the retreat center for offering an authentic experience of the Shipibo ancient practice of plant medicine healing. I highly recommend Caya Shobo if you are serious of physical, and emotional healing. Patricia Whitebuffalo

Caya Shobo is truly a castle in the sky; a holy temple. For some it might just be a place to commune with the plants, but for me it feels like a church. I feel more connected to whatever God is, and my faith feels restored. I didn’t grow up religious, but the master plants can provide this feeling of connection and faith. The team will make you feel safe, and make sure you are provided for. You will learn invaluable lessons here, guaranteed! The place feels like an oasis. So grateful for my healing here, and I’m confident I will be back soon. With gratitude!

First of all, I want to thank Ayahuasca that she called me to this amazing place like Caya Shabo and show me what really I need to know to improve myself, upgrade my life, and harmonise my relationships with my family, friends and all the people around me. She gave me nowledge about everything and enough power to do everything that I want and need. I am so proud of myself that I did it and got this priceless experience which I will share with the whole world. Special thanks to the best team, Belen and Phoebe, who received me and took care of me throughout the retreat. You guys are incredible people whom I will never forget, I will never forget what you did for me! Shaman Maestro Walter is not just a person, he is a creator who creates miracles. Thank you everyone and for everything!!With Love!!

I would very much like to extend my condolences to Maestros Arturo and Walter and the entire Caya Shobo staff on the loss of Don Pedro. I arrived at Caya Shobo in December 2021 with some serious medical issues. Don Pedro sang to me 7 out of the 8 ceremonies I participated in – more than any other participant in our group. What an incredible privilege! What phenomenal healing I received from this man! He was so kind and generous with me. His bluesy icaros were a true joy to receive. He was the Muddy Waters of the Amazon! One couldn’t help but have a smile on their face after receiving one of his icraos. I was truly heartbroken when I received the email from Caya Shobo that Don Pedro had passed away. The world has lost a man of great indigenous wisdom and kindness - something this old world needs more than ever. My sincere sympathy to all at Caya Shobo. I’m sure he is greatly missed by all of you, but please know he is also missed by all of us who received his wonderful healings."

To not only have an experience, but truly have a deep healing and learning process that can accompany you after the retreat, you need very good facilitators and maestros. And a safe and supportive container. I found this at Caya Shobo and for this reason I can only recommend it to everyone who feels attracted to this beautiful medicine path. I experienced really difficult moments, and to not have to go through that alone and receive real support was already healing on itself. Very grateful!

That was my 3rd retreat with caya shobo family, the level of the maestro Arturo and Walter is each time higher, kind of soul surgeons experts ! All the medicine are homemade there and the staff is nice ! Most of the staff are working there since long time and try to make your as confortable as they can. Its not really a place for the guys seeking experiences but for healing. The cost could look quite high but the value you may bring home got no price. Thanks caya team and maetros ! Ichabires Irake

My second visit to Caya Shobo opened the doors. My first visit 2019 was too much for me and couldnt split my mind to important matters. This, second visit compressed it all together. I am so happy that I visited and trusted more. It was so beautiful, right and healing that I dont have any words to describe it. The place is well kept, Shamans are deep and professional, facilitors are kind and loving in the right, warm and in distant loving way. Perfect.

This retreat center has so much integrity! Small numbers of people in the maloka. Individual attention and loads of support. The rooms are clean. The food is very good. The staff is very supportive. The shaman are highly experienced. I felt very held, supported and safe here.

given the fact that Caya Shobo operates in one of the world's poorest countries, they do a remarkable and responsible job with customer service. a few weeks before you arrive, one of their facilitators does a video-chat/medical-screen to ensure that no complications will arise from contraindications. when you do arrive, they have one of their own drivers pick you up (USD$40 fee paid ahead of time) and drive you back to the airport after your stay. what happens at Caya Shobo during your treatment is entirely up to you. you can choose to drink lots of ayahuasca; you can choose to drink very little. you can diet the master plants, including after your stay, or you can avoid them. you can take flower baths, use mapacho, and use the painful repote eyedrops, or you can avoid them. drinking ayahuasca means opening up your body, mind, and soul to new possibilities & fears that one often tries to merely cope with or suppress in every day life. to get the best results, you must walk straight through these fears and accept uncomfortable truths about life. all in all, you can accept fully everything the Shipibo tradition has to offer, or you can hold on to what makes you comfortable. they have food and living facilities for you, but little else, and there is nothing for "entertainment." Caya Shobo claims that the tradition in which the ayahuasca and other plant medicines are provided is of the highest faith to the original traditions performed by the Shipibo people; i cannot independently verify this claim.

I seldom really take time to review a trip, but Caya shobo deserves however time it takes.  I am just back home from my 3rd retreat in 2 consecutive years. This retreat was the most profound one for me. I cannot thank the whole team enough for all the gentle care and support throughout my retreats in the past two years. The rewarding experience didn't end once you left the center. A newbie to psychedelics, I believe I was brought to Caya Shobo during the most intense COVID situation in 2021. The whole journey is beyond description, I didn't even realize how much better off it would be since then. From the very moment Arin contacted me to answer all my questions, I have no doubts THIS IS THE PLACE!!! Bechy and Migual received me with gentle welcomes and open hearts, which is absolutely detrimental to a female solo retreater.  The maesters, the facilitators, the supporting team are all helpful whenever you need. The center  is full of integrity. This is the place you feel from your heart that they are serving this field, rather than a profitable business. It is my humble hope that the service lasts and the healing spreads. I'd also suggest that a closer shared bathroom nearer to the tree house tambo would be perfect if the team would take into consideration.  The current one is just the opposite direction:)
