Stayed here after a 9 day stay in the jungle and it was absolutely delightful. Good location, short walk to nice restaurants and a short tuk tuk to market. Wifi & Swimming pool too. The rooms are huge stayed in room 8 which was upstairs away from road where we slept well, then another occasion stayed in room 5 which...

The Casa Morey Hotel is on the edge of Iquitos, along the old rubber boom waterfront and now tourist center of the city. Built as the mansion for one of the rubber barons it is restored to its glory with modern, comfortable rooms and retains the look and feel of a grand mansion. For the comfort, charm and location I...

This is an old house that used to belong to a Rubber baron. There is a lot of history. The rooms are full of old paintings and original features but made very comfortable. The air con was very good. Plenty of hot water. The rooms clean and the bed very comfortable. However what makes your stay here is the people....

We stayed for only one night and day in this Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was air conditioned, beautifully appointed and large and spacious and very very clean. The breakfast room is very beautiful and the food was of a good variety and well cooked. The hotel is located right on the main Malecon, so...

I was part of an Earthwatch group, and stayed at the Casa Morey in late August and again in mid-September. What a glorious hotel! The rooms are enormous, with beautiful century-old tile floors, high ceilings and huge windows. The rooms are sparsely furnished, but I had everything that I needed, The bathroom was also quite large, with a deep tub/shower,...

We had two stays at the hotel before entering and after leaving the jungle. The rooms are huge (we had rooms 2 and 3) with great views of the Amazon River. It is worth going just to understand a little better how the rubber barons lived. The rooms still have a lot of the original tiling, the bed and bathroom...

This hotel is more than simply situated in what was an Edwardian rubber baron's house: it still is all that, and you feel like one of his guests. The rooms are huge, the decor faithful to the era and the river is at your feet.

We had an overnight stay in Iquitos before heading to the Treehouse Lodge and our cruise. This was an excellent hotel. It’s a former mansion, owned by one of the barons during the boom of the rubber industry in the region. The rooms are very large, with incredibly high ceilings. Several historic pictures show interesting views of the city in...

The mansion is pretty beautiful. It really is an old hotel which has retained its charm. I stayed one night. My room was very large, overlooking the small pool in the courtyard, which I did not use. Bathroom had a tub, but the water was never really hot. Lots of bugs, but you are in the jungle. Price was high,...

This is undoubtedly the best place to stay in the city and one of the more memorable places in Peru. Right by the river, away from traffic noise, and in a wonderfully-restored old house it gets the balance between comfort and character just right. Our room was huge, the service was good, the pool was welcome in the heat and...
