I didn't stay at the La Casa Morey, but i wish i had. I went on a tour up the Rio Nanay on one of their boats. I was given a tour of the hotel, and a meal in the dining room. This was the home of one of the rubber barons in the late 1800's, and has been restored...

We stayed in Casa Morey in late March for one night before heading to our amazon jungle lodge. Casa Morey is a restored mansion with a lot of charm from the amazon rubber boom period. The hotel is unassuming from the exterior but once you enter it is like entering a museum with lots of historical artifacts decorating the wall....

This hotel is quite a little jewel. It's almost like staying in a museum. It was built during the rubber baron era, and has been quite well restored by the hotel managers. Even the bathroom chains had been left as they were, adding to the poeticism of the place. It made me feel like I had gone back in time....

I don't think the pictures do this hotel justice- it's like a museum and really a stand out of class in Iquitos. The room was enormous with its own "parlor"! It also had air conditioning, was very clean and had zero bugs. This was especially great after coming back from the jungle! The hotel is also in a great location...

Stayed at the hotel on two occasions, before and after a 14 day Amazonian research expedition. The hotel is well situated in Iquitos, close to restaurants, attractions and museums. The hotel built during the era of the rubber barons has been well restored preserving the architectural detail while adding more modern conveniences. The rooms are large with high ceilings. The...

A clean hotel for an overnight in Iquitos. Very low water pressure in shower was the only real downside. Beds comfortable. Pretty good breakfast included. Location on riverfront promenade is good and there are a number of descent restaurants nearby.

The hotel is located in the midtown area of Iquitos. We only stayed one night, but we were impressed with the overall architecture and its history and place in rubber industry. The effort to restore and maintain the elegance of the past was pretty impressive. The rooms were enormous and comfortable, the staff was helpful and professional. The whole experience was...

I had a very pleasant stay at Casa Morey. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is great, walking distance to the main square and restaurants. A quiet location for a good night sleep. I love the Vitcorian / Colonial, high ceilings architecture of this place, quite amazing. Shower and air conditioning worked great. I can highly recommend this...

The hotel has loads of character and has a colonial feel about it. The rooms are huge and full of charm, some of which have a great view over the river. It is within walking distance of the boulevard where there are some good eating places.

Fine old building, helpful and welcoming staff, huge rooms and comfortable facilities, reasonably priced and conveniently situated on a picturesque plaza overlooking the river. Lots of artefacts to enjoy, and an amazing library (if you have time). This hotel ticks all the boxes and is hard to fault. Bravo Casa Morey!
