Paulo, Benedict and their beautiful daughter Shams truly were the best part of our trip to Peru. They created such a friendly, family vibe during our stay at their guest house. I came to Yakaruna directly from Nihua Rao Espiritual Centro two weeks ago. I had been without sleep for 24 hours, and had experienced the most unusually difficult Ayahuasca ceremony of my life. Paulo, Benedicte and Shams are the sweetest hosts in the Amazon! The food is amazing and the post dinner swing on the hammock deck or lounging in the the open air living room with breath-taking views of the Amazon river is something very special. At a 40min. moto-taxi ride from Iquitos, Yakuruna is the perfect distance from town! After a bumpy ride, customary in Peru, ones eyes fall upon the beautiful guesthouse.
