Very friendly boutique-style hotel and atmosphere. A relaxing place in a great location just a block away from the ocean-view walks and promenade. Just the right place to stay with a family and friends. The service is very much personalized.

I write this review as my husband and I spend our last night here. The hotel is beautiful, in a wonderful, well kept area of Barranco. Just down the street, we have views of the ocean. A little bit of a walk will take you into the heart of Barranco, where you’ll find bars, some quality restaurants and peaceful park areas to sit and soak up the vibes. On the rooftop, there’s a bar that serves finger foods with a Peruvian twist and great pisco cocktails, according to the hubby. Breakfast is included, unfortunately, we are lazy millennials and like to sleep in, so we never indulged in that bonus. BUT, the dining room is open 24/7 for tea/coffee/water. Definitely got my caffeine fix here many times late at night. As for the service, every single person employed here is amazingly kind. The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful, we arrived at almost 1AM in the morning and the front desk was happy to help us look for a decent place to eat that was still open in the area. They also remembered my husband and I’s birthday, everyone wished us well on the day of, and housekeeping left us an adorable towel display and a wonderful little note. So many thanks to Stefani, Deni and Maria for making our day a little more special. The bed is huge, I felt like there was a whole country between his side and my side. Also, the shower has fantastic water pressure, never have I washed my hair for so long. The only con I can think of is that we didn’t have a full length mirror in the room, but there was one down the hall, so we used that for the daily fit check. We haven’t even left yet and I miss this place already. We can’t wait to stay here on the next trip back.

My husband and I had an amazing time in Lima, staying at the Casa Republica. Firstly, the location, in Barranco - a striking building on a beautiful street with a view of the ocean and a treed boulevard in front. Our room on the main floor had a private terrace which we put to good use. The bed and sheets were superb. The staff were very professional and helpful; calling cabs, recommending places to eat or visit in the Barranco area. Rose and Alexandra, I so appreciated you and your helpfulness with my very limited Spanish! We were offered a Chilcano making session on the rooftop patio. Romero, I tried many, at other places but none measured up to yours! It was service with a smile from Dorita and Javier on the rooftop patio. Victor, it was nice to see your friendly face at breakfast - you could always answer my food questions! I so appreciated the exotic juices, lucuma yoghurt and making avocado toast!

This hotel is one of the 2 best hotels I have stayed in. Not because it has the best rooms, but because of the outstanding level of service the hotel provides, the quality of its staff and the overall ambiance of the hotel. The onsite restaurant is excellent and the turn down service memorable - what other hotel delivers hot water bottles, and hot tea every night? The staff are incredibly well trained and nothing is too much trouble for them. Like the Shinta Mani in. Siam Reap, this hotel delivers in high quality customer service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone

The hotel is in a beautiful old house on a quiet street in Barranco, arguably the best neighbourhood to stay in Lima. The staff were friendly and helpful; the breakfast was delicious and you could eat either in the breakfast room or garden; and the room was very nicely appointed. And the many lovely cafes, restaurants and bars of Barranco are minutes away. And the Pacific Ocean is at the end of the road - a minute’s walk.

We loved everything about this hotel. the lovely reception ladies were friendly and helpful. The rooms clean & comfortable, and the breakfast delicious. A visit to the rooftop bar is a must … Ramiro Darita & Victor were lovely and make an amazing welcome pisco drink (name??). The neighbourhood felt very safe to wander around, and visit the multitude of great local restaurants & bars .

Booked a suite for our wedding, with the intention of having photos taken in the hotel and my wife getting ready in the room. Made note of the wedding in our online booking. My wife went to the hotel in advance to check the details and was told there was an additional $250 fee for getting ready for weddings in your room and taking pictures in the common areas. Was not mentioned anywhere in the booking. Hotel was unwilling to work with us, and unwilling to cancel and refund the booking.

We have received your message as well as your 1 star review in Google and Trip Advisor. There are certain points on your message that we would like to clarify: 1. What you booked is a discounted non-refundable rate, if you cancel there is no refund as it is stated at the moment of paying. That is a policy on every hotel worldwide. 2. There is no "additional fee", you have been told several times by our staff that the cost for the wedding package which allows people to go in your room and pictures in the hotel plus the use of the room costs USD 250, you would only need to pay the difference. 3. At the moment of doing your reservation you only included as message: My wedding. You never described or ask about your "intent" of having pictures and allow other people in. 4. Guests are our number one priority and that is why we need to have control of the use of public spaces and external people in our property. 5. Your credit card has not been charged and it won't be, but you insist in asking for a refund. 6. Your reservation has been cancelled. 7. We take pride of welcoming every weekend brides who use our hotel for their preparation and photo sessions and that won't change. We will be sending this same message as a reply to your Google rating, TA comment and personal email. Casa Republica
