We don’t want to complain, because our hosts were so genuine and our initial reaction could be chalked up to Marriot-grade expectations. But no amount of incense could cover up the layer of mildew which pervaded the place. The two ladies in our party nearly mutinied when we arrived and they saw the bedding. LOL We stayed two nights and...

Alex and Fernando, the owners of the place are exceptional hosts. They went out of the way when it comes to give you advice about how to go anywhere in Lima by foot or car or public transportation. The neighborhood where the B&B is located is Barranco, this is an awesome district where you can walk around, go to dance,...

Beautiful traditional peruvian manor house. High ceilings, open spaces, just the right amount of light matcing perfectly the warm earthly colours. A perouvian friend that came to visit said it reminded him of the house of his great grandmother! Warm and familiar. The location is also perfect, a beatiful alley in the heart of barranco. It is a bit pricey...

The location is perfect, it's nice that you feel a bit like at home since this is a typical old house with not many rooms but if you are a fun of comfortable hotels this is not the right place for you, also the owners have 2 dogs and 1 cat, they wonder around the house and if you are...

If you want a Marriott, this is not the place for you. This is a hostel that is run by a small group of characters. It's more like having a room in a friend's house. I really felt right at home and had a great time. The location is perfect -- right next to the Puente de los Suspiros (the...

I stayed for 2 nights having found the place right in the centre of Barranco whilst walking around. It's an old traditional single storied building, with wooden ceilings, patterned ceramic tiled floors, subdued strong colours, pavement facing mini courtyards complete with wrought iron railings, paintings and characterful art pieces, comfortable lounges which were complimented by 3 very friendly house dogs...

I've stayed in Domeyer several times when visitng Lima over the past five years. Up until my most recent visit in September 2008, I absolutely adored this place; the old colonial structure (love those tall doors!), clean and comfy rooms, black cats wandering the halls, etc. All very endearing and I always looked forward to my stay at Domeyer.
