Second Home Peru is the home and studio of Victor Delfin, a prolific and compelling Peruvian artist whose sculpture of two lovers kissing is the centerpiece of Lima's prominent Love Park, where the paragliders launch. The house is a lovely arts-and-crafts style home with comfortable rooms, a glorious view of the ocean, and grounds covered with Delfin's sculpture. A nice...

We stayed for one quick night before catching a flght back to the US. Our room (I think it was Ocean View #1) was unbelievable beautiful! Modern, large bathroom. Comfortable bed and linens. The view of the Pacific Ocean from our patio was breathtaking. We bought a bottle of wine from the local grocery store and sat on the patio...

I really enjoyed the Second Home Peru. It looks like a huge mansion that was converted into a bed and breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful to us when we arrived. Being in a place we aren't familiar with they have maps and locations all set out for places to go eat, shop, and tour. They also arranged...

First advice to any traveler - do NOT choose this bed and breakfast if you want a Marriott. What is unique and very special about this hotel is you will be living with a well known Peruvian artist and his family. You must take a morning tour with the artist's daughter to visit the premises. You'll see his studio, meet...

We are looking for reasons to return to Lima, so we can revisit this hotel. We loved it and have placed it on our top five list. The location in Barranco is convenient to restaurants and shops. The place itself is fascinating if you are interested in art, and the staff is very friendly. It is not for those who...

I looked at TripAdvisor after I stayed here and was pleasantly surprised that others liked it as much as I did. It seems like a great out-of-the-way find, but it seems that many others have "discovered" it, too. The B&B is very beautiful, tranquil, and homey. The best part by far is the amazing art done by the owner (or...

We started at the Marriott, where my company had booked a room. But, the Second Home was recommended by a local colleague. What a wonderful difference. This lovely old home is about 100 years old, situated on a cliff overlooking the ocean and in the middle of the arts district. It is truly one of a kind. There are lovely...

Staying here was the highlight of our Lima visit. We had a family suite and friends had an ocean view room. We thought the Barranco area generally was a little disappointing but then we ventured further in to the CBD and realised that the sleepy hamlet was in fact it's blessing. Its only when you venture out into Lima that...

My husband and I stayed at Second Home while on our honeymoon. The property is beautiful and a lot of fun to be on with all of the art to explore! The rooms, while basic are very clean and fit with the artistic sense. The hotel is down a quite alley way and just two blocks from the best parts...

An amazing place to stay by the ocean after 30 hours of travel. Impeccably clean, fantastic views of the Pacific, a massive room and very comfortable bed. Staff very friendly and attentive, bought me a heater without asking, cooked a delicious breakfast. It is a beautiful house with amazing artwork everywhere, especially loved the sculptures of animals in the garden....
