We made a quick stop here for a shower and sleep between a late flight arrival and early bus departure. The room was basic, clean, and comfortable. The staff member on the desk was extremely helpful, organizing a taxi for us in the very early hours of the morning.

We were going to stay at Tupac for a long layover in Lima but our flight ended up changing and we couldn’t stay there. When we contacted Tupac they were very helpful and didn’t charge us any fees because it wasn’t our fault. Very noble hostal.

I traveled alone to Peru and was strictly advised against leaving the airport on my own. However, I'm not the type to be able to sleep on the floor in the airport& actually sleep. I called the hostel after arriving at the Lima airport late at night & . The guy working the desk spoke perfect English & arranged for a cab driver to pick me up in the arrival lobby of the airport. There are other hostels closer to the airport, however I noticed that they all had their doors wide open; I appreciated that Posada del Rey keeps theirs closed. I felt perfectly safe and didn't hear much noise from the street or other rooms. The room was clean enough considering it is a hostel. My prearranged taxi back to the airport was on time. Really, just what I needed,
I would recommend this to anyone who has the approximately $30 to spare (room, cab fare, bottled water & beer) over sleeping on the airport floor.

Polite, helpful staff. The walls are thin, but it was clean and they sell water for a reasonable price. They will arrange a taxi (one way $11, or round trip back to airport the morning $20) which is actually a great price..better than uber or green taxi. Simple breakfast in the morning. Not the best neighborhood but we felt the completely safe in the hostel.

Driver waiting for us at airport very late was helpful! Christian was helpful and friendly, able to answer our questions with a smile. Continental breakfast helped us on our way.
Rooms were simple but clean. Would definitely recommend stay over - we will probably stop back by when we come through Lima again next week.

Comfortable, quiet, just what I needed for my layover in Lima. Female solo traveler headed back to the US, didn’t want to hang out in the Lima Airport for 12 hours so I decided to get a taxi (25 soles). Got a private room, showered, rested and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.

I am so grateful with this place! I contacted them on facebook because i was taken to a horrible hotel by a taxi driver, they not only answer immediately but they were amazingly nice when we arrived. The place was very cozy, clean, well maintain. It is not a luxury place but the room and bathroom were clean and well maintained. The breakfast was good. We will stay there again!! Thank you so very much!

We stayed here in between flights entering Lima and heading to Cusco. We chose this place as an inexpensive stay for the short sleep, close to the airport. The young man working was very nice and helpful. The room itself was a let down compared to the image on this site and others. The common areas were alright and the wifi worked there. It also worked, a little slowly, in our 3rd floor room. We didn't stay long enough to experience some of the things other reviewers have written about-good or bad. After an exhausting day of travel, I wish we would have chosen something a little nicer. Overall, it served its purpose for a quick, economic sleep.

This hostel is ideal for short times between flights. We arrived in Lima at 11pm and had to leave at 8am, but did not want to stay in the airport all night. They picked us up for very cheap and took us back in the morning, even though it was so early. We were not sure about the area it was in at first, but the hostel felt safe. The rooms are not fancy, basically just a bed, tv, and bathroom. The hostel seemed older, but everything was clean. The staff was very helpful and spoke English. We needed a room for a similar situation when going back through Lima, but did not want to book here until I knew it was okay. We ended up staying here on the way back through because it was exactly what we needed. This place was ideal for the price, location, convenience, and free breakfast.

We had an overnight layover in Lima, and Posada del Rey 2 proved sufficient. It's not fancy, not a place I'd want to hang out in, but it did the job for the eight hours we were there. The taxi picking us up from the airport was a tad late, and there was a bit of confusion in the morning about who would take us back to the airport, but in the end it all worked out. The wifi is very, very slow and it wouldn't let me download emails, only go online.

Safe enough for a woman traveling solo?

No. No puedas caminar. Es demasiado lejos. Necesitas usar transportacion publico.
