We booked this hotel because it had a nice garden and a terrace overlooking the ruins. We weren't disappointed. We booked an unexpensive $25 standard room but got a room overlooking the beautiful garden. The room was spacious, with 2 comfortable beds (more comfortable that the beds in the *** hotel that we had in Puerto Maldonado, were we paid...

I honestly do not know why the last two reviewers here gave KB such bad reviews unless it may be a case of unrealistic expectations. Since KB's is a "Hostal", my husband and I were not expecting luxury/maid service/tv/phone etc upon booking our room. However, we were very happy with the room (Inti Wasi - $42/night for two people)! This...

Ok, so maybe I hit this hostal on a bad day. I confirmed my room prior to arriving. My friends and I went to check in about 10 pm after hiking all day only to find out they gave our room away to a large group. I am not the only one they did this to that night!! I felt...

I loved Ollantaytambo but made the huge mistake of staying in a standard room here (actually 2 adjoining rooms). They were filthy and when we first got in had about 30 flies flying around. There are no windows over the doors (to the inside hallways) so they just fly right in. We killed them all and then my husband had...

My wife and I recently spent 5 days. Ideally located between the plaza and ruins, it is people watchers delight. Comfortable room with an in room shower with plenty of hot water. Our room overlooked a beautiful flower court yard. It's restaurant is excellent. It's a wonderful value. However it's greatest asset is the owner KB. An American, he is...

This little hotel is a perfect base for exploring the Sacred Valley. We loved the room (clean, great shower, very quiet, but also very central), the restaurant (we ate there repeatedly, it was inexpensive and delish -- though the service left much to be desired), and the recommendations on what to do from KB. Highly recommended.

My husband and I were in Ollantaytambo for three days. We stayed at KB Tambo in one of the budget rooms with bath. For $36. a night it was perfect for our needs. Clean, hot shower and wifi. As we walked out to the charming little garden we saw inside some of the newer rooms that were being cleaned. If...

My boyfriend and I made the stop in Ollantaytambo on our way to Aguas Calientes. We booked here through a travel site not knowing what to expect. We arrived in this small town with just our backpacks wondering what we would find. About a 10 minute walk from the train station we found the KB Tambo. It was a cool...

Booked 3 nights in the cheaper backpacker room, we were upgraded to the nicer room (without asking) for the second and third nights. The difference in rooms is like night and day. This rating is for the nicer room. We had a few pleasant conversations with the owner and he gave us good honest advise and also allowed us to...
