We only stayed one night here, but would have loved to stay longer. The room was beautifully clean, with an interesting heating system. The hotel has lovely gardens and a superb lounge area with wi-fi. Breakfast was superb, in a lovely dining area. The staff were very welcoming and organised our luggage for safe keeping and later collection as we...

Wonderful, well run hotel, very quiet, good breakfast. The common areas, fireplace room and other rooms were so comfortable and all had internet access. Very very nice people working here. No hair dryers, no safes.

We stayed one night in Ollantaytambo and were very pleased with the accommodations. Very simple, with expected eccentricities. The grounds are lovely, with fruit trees and green spaces. Restaurant was cute for breakfast but not open in the evening. Well located with a short walk to the centre of town. This would be my voice if we were to pass...

We were pleasantly surprised by our Hotel Samanapaq, run by a mother/ daughter team, which had a nice garden with hammocks and wonderfully maintained common areas and neat, spic and span rooms! The premises was originally their home converted to a hotel. Recommend stay in Ollantaytambo which gives a truly out of the ordinary experience!

I am way overdue with this review! We stayed here (Feb 18-21, 2017). I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this hotel. The staff was warm and friendly and VERY attentive to anything we asked for. We had a triple room for our "girl week." We are in our 50's but think young! Our room was Super clean and the bath was nice...

Instead of Cusco and its high elevation, we chose Ollantaytambo for our first night in the Sacred Valley. As others have noted, it's a tucked away haven where the owners have obviously taken pride in creating a flowery sanctuary on a very busy corner. The room was simple and rustic with wooden floors and a little window view of the...

I stayed here with my family for one night before catching an early train to Machu Picchu. Samanapaq looks very simple from the outside, and beautiful on the inside! There is a lovely, well-kept courtyard between the main rooms, reception, and the dining area. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the showers had hot water at all times. In...

When you walk through the locked security gate, you are greeted by a lush garden complete with a murmering fountain. It was very peaceful. The staff was helpful, the room was clean, breakfast was good (especially the hand-squeezed orange juice) and the location was convenient. An adjacent building had comfortable sitting areas to hang out in with sofas, chairs and...

The owner and staff are friendly and helpful, very responsive to problems and questions, and treated you like family. Pros: --Very close to everything Ollantaytambo has to offer, including the main plaza, the fortress, the hike to Pinkuylluna, and of course the rail station to Machu Picchu. --nice little garden --clean and homey feel overall. --charming restaurant and nice breakfast...

Lovely grounds. It's like a family run hostel. They also arranged a private car that picked us up from Cusco airport for $50 and then back to Cusco with stops in Maras and Moray for $65. A little pricey, but was worth the convenience and experience. Neither of our drivers spoke English, but they were incredible and took the time...
