The hotel is an oasis for us when we visited Machu Picchu. We arrived at Hotel Samanapaq during the late afternoon and the staff asked about our travel agenda to Machu Picchu. We had a 4:50 a.m. check-in for our train ride to Aguas Calientes the next morning so they offered a wake up call and each of us a...

The hotel is located near the main plaza. Looks like it's the better hotel in the small town. Very relaxing hotel with a beautiful garden. The standard room is not the biggest, however it was very cute and cozy. Friendly personnel. Nice storage, they safeguarded our luggage while away to Machu Picchu.

I stayed 2 nights with my boyfriend. The hotel is located near the little main plaza. The bed was comfortable, there was a heater inside. The SHOWER is AMAZING, always with hot water. We had to catch our train early morning for Machu Picchu, so they gave us a snack bag for our trip, which was a life saver cause...

All fine. Very clean modern finished hotel, helpful storing luggage as they are well used to people travelling for overnight visits to Machu Picchu. Breakfast buffet of eggs, cheese, breads with jam and butter, juice and tea and coffee perfectly sufficient to start the day ,OK, nothing special. Negatives, WiFi didn't work much beyond reception and even then was slow...

Looks like one of the better hotels in this small town a short walk from the main square and attractions. Whilst the rooms were quite small there were a couple of well appointed lounge areas with an open fire. The grounds are beautiful with the entrance gate always locked. Breakfast was a modest buffet with the standard scrambled eggs. Good...

Not far from the main square in Ollantaytambo? The best part was the lounge areas where the wi fi signal was strong, although there seems to be none in the rooms. The breakfast room was set up in a separate area. The breakfast choice seemed better than what we had in some of the other hotels. The bedding and linen...

We stayed in Samanapaq for three days. The trip advisor reviews were mostly good ones compared to the ones for other places in Ollantaytambo. That town is a beautiful one, with streets that take you to an ancient time where big stones were used to build magnificent buildings. So we wanted the experience of being in such town before going...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night after Machu PIcchu. The gardens and grounds are gorgeous. I loved, loved the hammock area surrounded by a view of the mountains. Our room had a quaint feel to it. At first, we were disappointed by how dim the room lights were but it seems they use CFL bulbs...

Hi We stayed only one night before our visit to Machu Pichu. We were welcomed by the owner who is genuinely friendly _ super nice people ! Hotel is very well located, you can walk in a few minutes to the town center and to the train station. Excellent location. Also, walking distance to the ruin of Ollantaytambo which is...

We stayed at the Samanapaq for 2 nights, using Ollantaytambo as our home base for touring the Sacred Valley before heading to Machu Picchu. The owner, was warm and welcoming. The grounds are simply stunning! We had a double room with 2 single beds on the 2nd floor. There was a rooftop terrace above us -- limited noise during our...
