The hotel could not be more conveniently located as it is physically part of the train station that takes visitors down the Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu. It is also a very short and easy walk to the Ollantaytambo ruins (which should not be overlooked by those who are coming to Peru to see Inca ruins), and to the charming...

El Albergue is beautiful, quaint, idyllic, and yet modern and hip. It is an oasis in the small town of Ollantaytambo with its own organic farm, distillery, and coffee roaster. The food in the restaurant comes from the organic farm and is fantastic. The rooms are simple but clean and classic. The gardens surrounding the rooms are wonderful for relaxing....

We stayed at the hotel recently for 2 nights to visit Machu Picchu and enjoyed the smaller scale and quiet setting. The staff was very friendly and service very good. It was especially convenient to be so close to the train station, yet not noisy at all as our room was in the back facing a garden setting. It also...

Beautiful hotel, beautiful gardens, lovely rooms and if you're taking the train to Machu Picchu/Aguas Calientes, great location. They can't really help it, but it's hard to keep the water temperature in the shower consistent for more than a few minutes. We did get quite upset when we hired a taxi through the hotel, and we paid extra to have...

We travelled through Sacred Valley and ended up at this hotel waiting for the train the next morning. We didn't eat in the hotel as we has stopped en route and had quite a large lunch. At breakfast the next morning we were very glad we hadn't tried to eat there, the breakfast was dire, I asked for toast and...

The hotel location is very good, 10 min walk away from the main town and on the train station. The views from the hotel balcony of the mountains are really nice. The restaurant at the hotel is very good and we had almost all our meals there. Our room was right above the restaurant and the floors were squeaking all...

The rooms were spacious, clean, and had good shower water pressure! We especially loved relaxing in the chairs provided on the porch outside our doors. Great full breakfast included while watching trains and their passengers come and go. Enjoyed passing through the beautiful gardens several times each day in our way to town, tours, and the bar only steps away...

Beautiful room, clean bathroom, and a great view of mountains from the balcony. It's a short walking distance through the hotel's back gate to the farm where they grow their vegetables served in their restaurant. Food is gret there for breakfast & dinners. The courtyard is quiet & calming surrounded by flowering trees & shrubs with visits from songbirds &...

My wife and I loved this place! It is small with only 12 rooms but if you are lucky enough to get a second floor room you will wake to incredible views. From the minute you walk in you are well taken care of. The rooms ARE basic, they remind me of a summer cottage, which is part of the...
