Very nice hotel located at the train station, full of charm and very quiet to rest and benefit from the beautiful garden with nice view on the mountains. the rooms are big and comfortable, nice service, and the café serves good food of quality with typical dishes. We really liked Ollantaytambo, a bowl of fresh air after the awful city...

The first thing we noticed about the hotel was that everything was traditional, it has been like this no doubt since it opened many years ago. They have retained the natural charm obviously adding to it with the rooms in the garden. What a pleasure to step off the train from MP tired and elated straight into your hotel. We...

For the hospitality of all of its staff, its comfortable rooms with mountain and garden views, its location by the Machupicchu train station, its top quality food made with ingredients from its organic "chacra," and for so much more, I strongly recommend staying at El Albergue. The courtesy and care extended are genuine. Be sure to reciprocate! For visitors to...

So glad we decided to stay here rather than Auguas Calientes or elsewhere. The town is amazing, and this is best hotel in it. Steps to the train, a top shelf restaurant on site, amazing service, and a really awesome jingle explorer feel to the whole place. I loved it, one of my favourite places I've stayed - ever. If...

After my Sacred Valley tour, I checked into the hotel. As the other reviewers mentioned, it is located right on the train tracks. You have to go through the train station gates to/from the hotel. I was upgraded to room 13 which was in the back of the property near their garden and away from the tracks. I loved the...

We loved the view, the food, the room, etc. Make sure you visit the hotel garden. We loved the location and the ease to get on the train to Machu Picchu right from the hotel. It was...

My friend and I (both women) wanted somewhere comfortable and affordable to stay before taking train to Machu Picchu - this was it and more! We stayed 3 nights in room #2. The organic gardens were fantastic to leisurely tour and the food was magnificent - great presentations of appropriately sized meals (not too huge) with lots of veggies (from...

My husband and I stayed at Albergue for 3 nights during our 2 week trip to Peru. I loved this hotel. I was a little worried about having my sleep disturbed by noise from the train, but we had no problems in room #7. Our room was really cute. We loved the rustic decor and I enjoyed sitting on our...

Very good postion, right in the train station: you can get up, take your breakfast and just jump into the train leaving for Macchu Pichu. Rooms decorated in traditional (rural) peruvian style, maybe to simple for the price asked. Nice inside inside garden (but small) where you can have a drink or eat lucnh. Price high for Peru.
