We stayed at La Capilla lodge for about three weeks and loved every minute of it, starting with the Cusco airport pick up, which was organise by the lodge. The rooms are quaint, decorated with authentic Peruvian textile, paintings and beautiful photographs of Peruvian life and scenes. Garden is tranquil and full of flowers, which makes it very pleasant to...

A traveling group of nine of us stayed here for one night. The rather new lodge seems like it's been in its surroundings forever. Owner Chris is extremely warm, welcoming, very accommodating, and seemed like an old friend - a part of our group. His landscaping of the uniquely laid-out rooms is beautiful, as are the rooms. The food was...

La Capilla Lodge is a lovely oasis near Urubamaba. I say “near” because we walked from the bus station in town and it was a bit of a walk. Off the main road you go up a dirt road along a stone wall with a wavy top and come to La Capilla and friendly host, Chris. We were there in...

a breath of fresh air. After biking, hiking some weeks in Peru we arrived at La Capilla. The garden with sunbirds, great food with rooms to match, were well appreciated. Chris arranged the rental of motorbikes and took us on an unforgettable ride. Best steak I had in all of Peru.

Chris and Rhomina were the perfect hosts for our 4 day in early November! We had so much fun - stories and good humour every day! Our hosts helped us achieve all of our goals by providing meals at times that were best for us, by booking taxis and giving us great advice for our total four week trip in...

We stayed four nights at La Capilla giving us time to explore the area. We LOVED it! It's fairly basic as far as accommodation goes, but the location is great. And the hosts are wonderful--so helpful, and so much fun. We had some good laughs with Christophe. He was also great at arranging any transfers we needed--quick and easy, no...

Hotel was a welcome period of relaxation after our 12 day trek and before we flew home. Chris was friendly and made us welcome. He's very engaging and has a well stocked bar. He made us very welcome without being intrusive. Rooms clean and comfortable. Garden was almost zen in its calmness and very pleasant. Location is a bit isolated...

We really enjoyed our stay at La Capilla. Chris and Rhomina made us feel like family. We also enjoyed our dinners and breakfasts, and the conversations we had. This is the place to go for a personalized and at home family experience.,

This is a bit off the beaten track (1/2 hour walk to town of Urubamba), but Chris was so helpful in arranging taxis to the train, etc., that we felt very comfortable and well-served. Breakfasts are hearty and filling; dinners are ready an hour after you special order. The hot water for showers can take a while to warm up,...
