We stayed one night at this place, because the location is close to the airport. Depending of the day time, it is plus minus a 15 min ride by taxi. The best of the pousada is the website, but in reality it looks different. The whole place needs renovations and an update.Everything inside and outside is run down and it...

We booked this place a few hours before our arrival. The hosts (Mercedes and Raphael) were extremely pleasant and welcoming. Both have a very calm demeanor, speak great English and spent the time to cater to our needs, chat with us, tell us about the city and offer useful advice. It was such a pleasure to spend the time with...

I only stayed here one night but could have stayed much longer if my travels allowed. Mercedes is a lady with awesome expertise in all aspects of running a fabulous hostel. Her skills in the kitchen are exceptional. The morning breakfast was the most beautiful display of breads, fruits, cheeses, meat and beverages that can kick start your day. The...

The only reason it can be considered a hostel is because it has many very nice and comfortable dormitories for guests along with private rooms. It is an old, but very well maintained, local country house, secluded in the beautiful and very safe neighborhood of Carrasco. The living...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
With its thatched roof and green shutters it is reminiscent of an English country house, secluded and with a beautiful garden full of birds. Here is where we also make our famous asados, the typical Uruguayan barbecue. Inside the house you can spend your evenings enjoying the pleasent rural atmosphere. We are a family business and will take care of you as if you were one of us. We are looking forward to see you. ... more   less
