Bad experience in reception. When we arrived to the hotel this ugly looking indian lady at the reception is so rude and makes the reception area looks ugly. She doesn't even know what she's doing ..Really.. The reception was not even busy..Girl,we all work in a tourism industry and that's not how we treat our customer whether they are locals..You need to go for your quality customer services, otherwise you'll piss all the bamboo customers coming in for a holiday. She didn’t care about what I said. The lady needs to have a training in customer service. TRY AND BE LIKE THOSE FIJIAN STAFFS WORKING AT BAMBOO, THE OLD STAFFS WITH THEIR BULA SMILES AND ALL ...AND WE ARE COMFORTABLE AROUND THEM..FROM BAR TEAM p TO THE KITCHEN, THEY ARE AWESOME AND HARD WORKING PEOPLE...UNLIKE YOU, I BELIEVE YOUR NAME IS RENU...FIRST YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO SMILE AND IF YOU HAVE TO IT'S FAKE!! Worst experience while checking in EVER!! Otherwise, everything about bamboo backpackers is Awesome. Fantastic and Beautiful team at the bar and that lovely lady Rosa & Team at the kitchen with tasty food and reasonable prices and also this hard working staff at the reception John and Sereana Can't wait for my next visit!! A bit overpriced for what you really get. They have big rooms but you can't really sleep at night because you hear always people yelling on the bar. If you have the chance do not eat there, food is oily and has nothing to do with Fiji. Also, the stuff was sometimes rude with us. Overall not a good experience, we'll try to go somewhere else next time.

Amazing place, very chill and relax vibe. The hostel has a pool and volleyball court right next to the beach, with a lovely view, excellent for sunsets. Also the restaurant is open 24/7,with exquisite dishes and meals.

I stayed here two nights at the beginning and end of my trip to Fiji. This is the same place as Bamboo Backpakers. Not sure why they call it a different name. I had a private room with a bathroom. The rooms were basic but functional. Perfect for those on a budget. The bar was always busy and fun. The staff was great. The woman at the reception remembered my name even though I stayed only one night five days prior. The cafe is open 24 hours so you can get something to eat if you arrive late, have an early tour, or need to catch the ferry. Overall, this place met my needs and I would stay here again.
