On our arrival we were greeted by the resident cats and dogs, and once they had sniffed us over they were very friendly! Especially Andi the kitten! There is no footwear allowed in the lodge and we are tasked to remove our shoes. The rooms are downstairs from the main common area and are slightly cooler as a result, the...

Host, Suzie, is very friendly as we chatted every night, she knows how travelers like to explore deeply as she traveled thoroughly in other countries such as Taiwan. She prepares really lovely breakfast in the morning. She cares about your safety as she saw I walked back to hostel at late night, she reminded me to be aware on the...

This is an interesting place- family run and staffed by travellers. The breakfast is very nice and the location fairly central. The room I was in looked like it was used primarily as a linen closet and had windows and a door which wouldn't shut entirely. Bunk beds and lack of air conditioning were not ideal but for a couple...

Clean tidy and in the right location to main Suva not far from the shops. Breakfast included with the price and was really nice. Staff Susie was very helpful advice where we should go and also helping us with the king highway bus time table. Not the cheapest place but only a few dollars more than near by places I...

My husband and I only planned on 2 nights and ended up staying a week. Suzie and her boys couldn't have done enough to make our stay more enjoyable. This really is the perfect place to stay when in Suva. Set on a quite street away from the hub bub, yet close enough to enjoy the sights and attractions. We...

I only stayed 1 night there as I didn't have much time left. It really is like staying with a family. Dorms quiet, 2 bathrooms, one with hot water. I asked and had dinner with the family, which was great. Breakfast included was great and filling. You can also cook your own food. The people were really nice. I walked...

I've visited Suva several times now and Colonial Lodge is my preferred place for seeing the city. It's centrally located, within walking distance of the bus station and yet in a quite residential area. Suzie is very welcoming, a great host and knowledgeable about Suva and travel around Fiji. It's good value for money and includes a decent breakfast. When...

A great place to relax while being within a quick walk of the city and all it has to offer. Delicious food on offer and always someone around for a chat which helps you to understand life in Fiji. If you're looking for a homely chilled out vibe with good people then visit Suzie :)
