Colonial Lodge is run be careing and helpful people. I stayed there for a couple of days first and returned to stay for 2 weeks looking for a longterm solution. The staff helped me getting started in Suva. It is perfectly located 3 min walking to the bus station, market, handicraft market, bars and clubs and much more to do....

We only stayed here for one night but Suzie was a lovely hostess, as was the rest of her family. We really appreciated being able to use the kitchen to prepare meals and being able to relax in the hostel while we waited for the ferry to Taveuni. The dorm rooms were a bit tired, but quiet and clean. Animal...

After weeks in more remote parts of Fiji, my cousin and I came to Suva and thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent at Colonial Lodge, getting to know the hostess and her family and also sharing traveling information and stories with other travelers. This kind of sharing social life is one of the joys of low budget traveling. And Suzie,...

Staying at the Colonial Lodge is like you never left the comfort of your home. Suzie is the greatest hostess and goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and content. She is so knowledgeable and entertaining. Her sons Joshua and Collin are a joy and so helpful. The lodge is only a walk away from the city...

The lodge is a great place for long term or short term stays. Suzie makes her guests feel at home and does anything she can to make her guests comfortable. She also can recommend activities around Suva and the rest of Fiji to suit any travelers needs and interests. Josh and Collin are also great and hard working adding to...

Sometimes I go check in elsewhere then before you know it Im moving to stay at the Lodge. Here it is a hop skip and jump to everything central down town Suva city. Clean family orientated with a yummy breakfast each morning tossed in on price. Great social networking as place is frequented by local business guests and other South...

In 2012 when i was 16 i traveled on my own to Fiji to teach English in a local school. I stayed in Colonial Lodge just outside of the city centre and i wouldn't go anywhere else. As it wasn't a big chain hotel i experience a more realistic view of Fiji. The Lodge is run by Susie and her...

Tastefully decorated and a well managed bed and breakfast. Definitely worth considering for a stay in Suva. I have been taking my family and recommending this venue to friends for years and we've never been disappointed. The owner and staff are always wonderful and friendly.

Close to Downtown Suva for walking around and going to market. Quiet location. Funky old house with tired furnishings. Family run, casual owner. Needs to get rid of cats. Satisfactory breakfast. Wifi did not work all the time but I had vodaphone flashnet pre-paid. We stayed upstairs so don't know what downstairs rooms were like. Door is locked after about...

Close to town, food was good, nice family feel to the place, but, the room (we had, anyway) was awful! Fly wire netting on one side only - not much good if the other side is open to all the mozzies, experienced our first bedbugs! The fan blades turned, but seemingly to no affect (not sure how that could be),...
