My wife and I stayed at the Hanakee Hiva Oa Pearl Lodge for 6 nights in mid-July. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The food was good, and in some cases great. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location has spectacular views. The bungalows are nicely spaced from each other so you feel like you have more privacy. They...

My visit ended a 7 week Birthday trip, the peace and quiet of the Lodge was hard to beat! Let me first say that the views are spectacular, landing in the mountains was wild, the food is excellent (thank you CoCo, the lobster was excellent), and the staff did a great job ( especially Edith and Marieho). Jean-Jacques was a...

The hotel is in an extraordinary location at the top of a montain overlooking the Tahauku Bay. From the balcony of each of the few bungalows the hotel is composed of (all furnished in a typical polynesian chic style) you can have the most amazing view you can ever dream from a balcony. You will never forget the wonderful sunsets...

My husband and I were on a trip to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary and we spent 3 wonderful nights at this hotel. Pros: The English speaking owner is very helpful and friendly, he picks you up at the airport and does his upmost to make sure you have a memorable stay. We appreciated being upgraded to a premium water...

During our honeymoon we decided to change our travel course, so we arrived one day earlier. The manager of the hotel did the pick up at the airport and told us that there will be no problem to organise a short roundtrip to Atuona and an old polynesian village. Furthermore he was able to book an excursion to the "Island...

Possibly one of the best places we have ever stayed in. My family and I recently spent 4 nights staying in this absolutely marvellous little gem that hardly anyone knows about. Upon arrival at the airport, the manager Jean Jacque and his wife greeted us with warm smiles and friendly hugs, and escorted us to the lodge. So good was...

I stayed at the Pearl Lodge over New Year. It is a delightful place with lovely small infinity pool and well appointed and lovely bungalows. I didn't eat there much but when I did the food was good. The view from this hotel is spectacular. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere easy and it's probably the smartest place to stay...

The only place to stay in this place and good value for French Polynesia. Very warm and helpful staff. Good quality food at prices that were better than the café down town,. Nice little pool with views and charming rooms with an ethnic feel. Made our visit to Hiva Oa a delight. Lovely to sit on the verandah in the...

Hiva Oa was the first island we visited in French Polynesia, so maybe I'm a bit biased, but it was absolutely beautiful and I'd absolutely return. This small boutique hotel is very very well managed. The manager came to pick us up at the airport and greeted us personally (and also drove us back to the airport). His staff are...

Un unforgettable Haloween party, where invited by default instead of dinner. Everything, but really every coind has been adorned with spider-webs and spiders, orange and black baloons all over (we have managed even to make one of them reach Geneva :). The personnel has been all dressed up, in vampires and whiches, with remarcable realistic costumes and make-up. The open...
