First of all, hotels in Malabo are quite expensive, therefore the relation quality/price is kind of ambiguous. The hotel is nice, the rooms are small but the bed is very comfortable and clean. The menu to eat and drink in the hotel is very expensive, so I recommend eating and dri

The establishment is like any other Ibis hotels what makes it different is the Chef in the hotel kitchen. The food is good compliments to the Chef. The location is around 5 to 7 miles from the Airport and has beautiful view from the rear side of the hotel.

It is obvious that this HAS BEEN a nice hotel. However, the facilities are not being maintained and the management is unavailable when there is a problem. On the second day of my four day stay, the air conditioning went out for the entire hotel. Each time I enquired about the pro

Dear guest, We thank you for the time you took to write this review. We are sorry that the service did not meet your expectations and we really apologize for that. The technical issues you experienced are related to the refurbishment of our A/C equipment, that we are doing in the hotel. This will finish at the end of the month. Please contact me directly when you will have to come back to Equatorial Guinea, so that I personally take care of your stay. Very best regards, Laetitia Gnassingbé General Manager Ibis Malabo

I was in room 202 and it was next to a wall, so I only had one neighbor, with the other "neighbor" the wall of the building. The hotel is very bare bones, offers no amenities, and no soap, shaving cream, or even tea/coffee in the room. The television channels are very limited, an

Dear guest, I first would like to thank you for choosing our hotel for this trip in Malabo. I'm very surprised to read your comment because you spent time in the hotel and left without seeing a Manager to complain. I'm also surprised that you put very negative information that are not right on our hotel: The "Sweet Beds" of Ibis are one of the best in the Hotel Industry and are the same that you will find all over the world. Our hotel has been opened in 2011 so is quiet new. The amenities of all Ibis Hotels are always the same in the rooms (Economic brand). Also, if you want to have the best prices, you can book your room through our webpage to have the best offers and eligible stays to our Loyalty program (Le Club Accorhotels). I'm very sorry if your stay did not meet your expectations but please feel free to contact me so that we can find a solution on your future stay. Very best regards, Laetitia Gnassingbé General Manager Ibis Malabo

"The higher up the better so you can avoid insects and lizards."
"The rooms got a very good view both side as you can admire the beauty of the city, especially from second floor."
"Higher floors have less noise and corner rooms are free from elevator sounds"
"Ask a view on the Palace..."
"Odd numbers provide a view of 10,000 ft Pico Basile (if it's not covered in clouds), while even numbers face the sea, in the distance. On a clear day you can see Mount Cameroon across the Gulf of Guinea. Best to stay no higher than the 5th floor."
