The location is perfect for visiting Sofia, furthermore it is very close to Boulevard Vitosha, the main pedestrian street of the town, always crowded and full of shops.
You can arrive easily by car and you can park inside (even though paid) in a garage reachable by a lift, not suitable for big vehicles. It is very hard to find parking in the street.
No breakfast and dinner, but a lot of restaurants and coffee bars nearby. You can also prepare coffee and tea in your room.
The staff is not very kind, but the reception is open 24 hours.
We were on the top floor, the room and the bathroom were silent, large, bright and comfortable, but the room looked a bit neglected as the whole hotel.
Price good for Sofia City.

Barely okay.

Plus ·

The few things that were good were the location and the spacious rooms.

Minus ·

House keeping:
They just clean the room if you aren´t in it, they don´t even knock on the door to check first and when they do clean it they switch towels, give you new glasses and empty your trash bins. When I asked the reception, they answered that they don´t come back after 11 in the morning to see if you need house keeping.

Room:
The hairdryer worked for 10 sec. then it stops.
The water pressure in the shower is weak.
The towels are thin and worn out.
The curtains are too thin so the light shines in the room in the morning.
The bed is really hard, I got back pain sleeping in it.
The wi-fi is very unstable.

Overall, the staff is rude and not helpful except the cleaning lady. The only thing that saves this hotel is the location and the spacious rooms, nothing else. I don´t know why they get so good ratings, perhaps fake reviews.

Although a bit dated but overall a nice hotel for a day or two. Location is one of the best in Sofia and pretty central to everything to see in Sofia. The only negative point is the WIFI which is unbearable.....taking 3 or 4 minutes to open a page. Checking in was hassle free and the front desk was pleasant.

Stayed as a couple in this hotel. Location is great, a one-minute walk to the Vitosha blvd, and many other central places. Rooms are spacious, well equipped. Furniture needs some maintenance, nothing major. Staff was very accommodating and cooperative.

Very clean, modern and warm hotel which only cost £142.00 for a twin room with breakfast for 3 nights. Two minutes walk from Vitosha Boulevard and all it's restaurants and bars. Ideally place for city walks.

The location of the hotel is very good, parallel to one of the main streets. Hotel itself is small, with 4 floors. They don't offer breakfast anymore after COVID, but there is a really really good brunch place "Boho" around the corner. Room was large and spacious, spacious. Cleanliness is okay, there is welcome water and instant coffee, tea and a few local candies. The only thing was the towels, which were really dirty (I think they were washed, but just with stains that have passed their time and won't come out). The hotel staff was also very okay and friendly.

At some point you ask yourself why this hotel has only three stars, with 20 or so rooms all very well equipped, with mini-kitchen, desk, Sony tv with more than 100 hd channels, super nice heater, comfy bed, clean room cleaned every day and change towels, shampoos and soaps, free wi-fi, nice big shower cabin, balcony, full breakfast, helpful staff, underground garage with car elevator and very central location and all that for 40euros this should be everyone's place to stay in Sofia.

The hotel has a perfect location, the staff is polite and very helpful, the rooms spacious and clean and the breakfast is excellent, with choice of sweet and savoury food.
Everything could be perfect but they have one (big) problem: the heater in the bathrooms wasn't working, so we asked the receptionist and he told us that all the heaters in all the bathrooms of the hotel are like that. They built the hotel like that and that's it. Bizzarre.
Wasn't that great considering that outside was -16 degrees, otherwise for price and service would be perfect.

I travel to Sofia quite often for business and stay at this hotel every time. I used to book rooms at Hilton and Kempinski before I discovered this wonderful little hotel situated in the heart of downtown Sofia. For almost half the price of Hilton and Kempinski you receive quality service, clean and neat room with modern and spacious bathroom, and most importantly friendly staff. In my opinion it is truly a great vale! I love their staff - from the cleaning ladies to the receptionists - everybody does their best to make you feel at home. The only drawback is the fact that they don't have a gym. I generally get a 10 day membership in Kempinski - their gym is great and it also has an Olympic size swimming pool. To get there I get a cab from the hotel (about 4Leva - ~$3) but coming back I normally walk – it’s about 15-20 minute stroll.

The location of the hotel is unparalleled!

In your leisure time, you may take a stroll through the wonderful streets of downtown Sofia, partake in the weekend promenade on Vitoshka Boulevard where the folks come out to walk shop and have a cup of coffee in one of the numerous cafes alongside the boulevard. If you are jetlagged and hungry and it’s past midnight, you may find a 24h grocery store called “Mandarin,” which is located about two blocks from the hotel on the same street, “Khristo Belchev.” You may also walk couple minutes longer and find a wonderful little joint called “Supateria” that serves soups and salads – it is open 24/7. The food is very cheap and tasty. The place is located on “Graf Ignatiev” – across from the book market and the McDonald. I can go on and on, but you get my point.

If you are planning to travel to Sofia anytime soon, call their front desk and ask for the manager - Ms. Dobreva - she will take good care of you.

Cheers!
Robert

One night stay on our group hill-walking week in Bulgaria before flying home.

The air conditioner wouldn't work, the room was small and breakfast was limited. I wouldn't like to stay here more than one night and there must surely be better hotels in town. Staff were friendly enough but it was a tired old place.
