The hotel itself is just terrible! Very old building, old furniture, old elevators, dirty. Breakfast is very poor! And cold! No heating in the room. Positive points: location (very central), wifi (everywhere in the hotel, fast). Friendly staff at the reception. They speak English.

Great location, exciting history, nice staff but the hotel is very worn out. However the room was Clean and OK. The restaurant and the bar is under renovation but there is a good bar in the same building.

This is not an expensive hotel; this is a cheap hotel with no frills. But the rooms and big and clean, and the location really cannot be bettered. For the price it is highly recommended. The lift is very entertaining too, especially in these days of nanny state HSE.

I stayed here for one week in July. It is in a very central location. The staff and the service was average and the room was not made up everyday nor where the toiletries replaced. For location and maybe one night it would be ok but there are a lot of much better places in Sofia.

The location of he hotel is perfect, right in the city centre. Other than that, everything else was terrible. Most of the rooms were really old (and probably not renovated from the time the hotel was built) and the pictures they show are from the very few " new rooms", the cleanning was inadequate, the breckfast ( which you pay...

there was no heating in the room and the balcony doors dont close well. The staff stole us by manipulating the currency exchange rate. We booked the room for 49 euros and we paid 54 euros. Shame on them ! they didnt even listen to us. However the location is good.

Dirty, old, tired, noisy, uncomfortable, dangerous. This hotel is everything you don't want when you're handing over money for accommodation. It is an old hotel from the Communist era, which appears to have had no attention with regards to updating it's decorative state or making it safe since that time. Rooms were grubby, in a very poor decorative state. Rusty...

Its not the best hotel I've ever slept in, but also not the worst. The location is just perfect: no matter what you want to visit within downtown you'll reach in minutes- just a corner away from Vitosha Avenue. The walls are a bit too thin, maybe; yet nothing too noisy to report. It's a simple place, just ok for...

Group of friends visiting Sofia in early October. The hotel is old, no doubt about it. But the price and location make up for it as it's pretty close to everything. Breakfast is nothing special (although cheap), the rooms are tired, service is so-so. Would I stay again? Well, if you're looking for a budget place to crash it's not...

I booked this hotel for a 4 night trip with my friend and was pleasantly surprised with the experience. Yes it's old fashioned and a little bit rough around the edges but it is well located and for the price I'm not sure what some of the other reviewers expected. The room was dated but very clean. The beds were...
