Two friends and I spent 5 days at the Canopy Tower just before Easter. We had the place to ourselves and the experience could not have been better. Arrangements were made easily by email a couple weeks in advance. Like other facilities, the Canopy Tower has been close to empty during the pandemic. My friends and I decided to take the plunge because we had been vaccinated and the Canopy staff made things so easy. They upgraded our rooms, which were immaculately clean and comfortable, and each of us had a private bath. Lorenzo picked us up and delivered us back to the airport with no hassles. Igua was a fabulous guide and person and somehow tailored our trips and his commentary to our abilities: one great birder, one middling birder and one beginner.. The food was great. The price was right (about $1700 each plus airfare). The birds and wildlife were great. They also arranged for an onsite covid test the day before our return. An excellent trip. Hats off to the Canopy Family.

Stayed for three nights. Loved the staff and the tours they provided. Plenty to see on the property and within walking distance as well. Food was very good. Rooms were adequate, not plush. Everything we needed. Would love to come back.

Canopy Tower is the most amazing place ever to imagine to enjoy nature, birds, mammals ... With the best guides you can imagine you will have an experience you'll never forget. Rooms are comfortable and the gourmet like food is incredible. As a photographer I was amazed about all the beautiful animals and nature I could photograph. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves nature!

For a birder, there is no other equivalent experience in Panama. Arising early, greeting the birds at the top of the tower while watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee in hand is a delight. I especially appreciated the guides who are there to help guests locate and identify birds in the surrounding trees. The meals provided were delicious and well served, After only being able to book the first floor rooms with shared bathroom I was initially concerned. Since I was with 4 friends and only 2 others shared those bathrooms it worked better than expected. There are 2 negatives I would like to share. First, it is expensive. A first floor rooms was describe by my friend as a "broom closet", yet the cost is significant! Ala cart guide service is also expensive. Second, thirty seven stairs to coffee and breakfast (and other meals) is not for those with week knees.

There is only one Canopy Tower and it took a lot of imagination, ingenuity, and engineering to make it. Rooms are not luxurious but comfortable, showers are good. The view out the window into the forest canopy is great. Jorge is really hard-working, excellent guide that knows the area. the birds, mammals, reptiles, and most of the plants. Equally important he is enthusiastic about being a guide and helping you see and photograph them. The food is not fancy but very good, great fruit and salads. There is no elevator and there are a lot of steps to get to the rooms, dining area, and the roofs. Some of the off-site trails would be difficult for anyone with limited mobility but you can see a lot from the "Birdmobile."
